Yeah I edited my reply because I thought I didn't say that he played specifically against the Cowboys in my original post that you quoted. As in it slipped my memory to include that disclaimer. Not that I forgot he played in the Super Bowl. But then I realized I did include it. Sorry for the confusion. I can see how that messed you up as it did to me. And/or my bad.

No big deal at least we cleared it up.

I guess you don't remember. It was discussed often back then.

No, I don't remember. Favre used to get so hyped up before games he had a tendency to throw high balls, he said that in interviews.

Flynn had 299 yards and 4 TD's in that game, you would have thought Rodgers was the QB. Eddie Lacy had 140 yards rushing, we couldn't stop him or Flynn. Our defense sucked that day.

More than anything JG sucked that day.

It was one of the few time I thought he might be fired.

That Dallas defense was pretty awful that year.
Was that the year they finished dead last in total defense....was either 2012 or 2013?

That 2013 season was the year our defense was historically bad, 3rd worst statistically in league history. We gave up something like 4-5 400 yards passing games. I know Brees just missed out on a 400 yard game against us. Our D was dreadful that season.

This
Most stadiums have a crown--mostly for drainage--but the old Texas Stadium crown was a few inches higher.

The comments connecting it to "indoor stadiums" are off base.
In fact, domed stadiums may have less need for ti.

Now that the drainage systems are under the playing surface, they should have 0 crown.

If it's true then why would Rodgers have a problem with the crown? Is the crown just something that affects Green Bay QBs? LOL Did the crown have any affect on Rodgers performance at AT&T stadium in the SB in 2010? He passed for 304 yards and 3 TD's against the Steelers. Maybe the crown benefits him and helps him loft the ball better on deep throws.

You have to admit that comment was pretty out there. lol What makes you think Favre sailed balls high because of the crown in the field? Where do you come up with this stuff?
Go back and watch that playoff game. Madden mentions it.

Madden he made a big deal about butt sweats, sometimes he would over analyze things. What affected Favre isn't going to have the same affect on Rodgers. All anyone has to do is review Rodgers performance at AT&T stadium in the SB. The field/crown had not ill effects on his game.

texas stadium had a "crown" in the middle of the field in that the highest point was in the middle and sloped downwards toward each sideline
I thought the field sloped from midfield towards each endzone.

nah, from middle towards the sidelines.. there used to be a good pic on the web illustrating it, of course I can't find it now
You're right. For years, football fields had crowns of varying degrees that ran down the middle of the field. As I mentioned before; this was for drainage.

There is no crown. I'm talking about how Favre did indeed have trouble because of the crown at Texas Stadium. I have that game on DVD.

Do you have an interview of Favre saying that? Never heard of a QB having issues throwing the ball because of a crown on the field. Whatever, our field had no ill effects on Rodgers in the SB in 2010.
