This is just a thread designed to be interesting and fun, and yes it is useless off-season chatter.

Heres the premise:

Say the Green Bay Packers called up tomorrow and said "We will do Aaron Rodgers for Tony Romo right now straight up, no picks no other players no conditions"

Yes Tony Romo(30 in a few weeks) is the better player, but Aaron Rodgers(26) is 4 years younger. What do you do?

No. Rogers is really good but he couldn't improvise like Romo in his wildest dreams. There is no better QB for this team than Romo. QBing the Cowboys is a whole different ballgame than the Packers.

tony is infinitely more likable than Rodgers.

For that reason alone, decline.

Rodgers is not the face of America's Team.

Answering my own question:

I wouldn't, Rodgers always seems to me to be Romo Lite, maybe some will argue with this but he seems to try to improvise and extend plays like Romo does, but hes not as good at it as Romo is, I would have to decline.

No chance. I like Rodgers a lot, but Romo's our guy and he knows our system front to back. Tony's earned the respect of the locker-room and earned his status as face-of-the-franchise.

I would. Find some way to get Greg Jennings too. Superbowl.

I probably would. Tony was real close to blowing that game against Philly with that almost int.

These are such dumb threads. Try asking your wife if she'd trade you for your best friend. Try telling your wife you'd trade her for her best friend.

Kid, some day you're gonna learn to just be happy with what ya got.

go back and watch how he threw that pass. he was afraid of the hit. he caught a break it wasn't picked. that would've given Philly momentum since they tied the game at 7 right before that.

Kinda like how Rodgers was close to blowing the playoff game vs. Arizona by overthrowing Jennings on a sure deep TD, then taking a sack/fumble which was returned for 6.

Oh wait, that's what actually happened.

Because of one pass you want Rogers? I think he more than made up for it that game with the game winning pass.

it's not just because of that 1 pass. Rodgers is 3 years younger than Tony and just as good right now if not better. I also don't see Romo as a championship qb. I hope he proves me wrong though.

and Rodgers blew the game against the Cardinals, what's your point?

dude Rodgers threw for like 400 yards and 5 tds in that game. but than again he could've dropped a hold for a freaking 20 yard fg to lose the game.....

Ah ok. Rogers post season success is pretty impressive. I can see how you came to that conclusion.
