I agree with everything you are saying. But I'm saying he can't be blamed because he feels forced to try to do it all himself on every single play. If guys would make plays around him (Randy Moss, Reggie Bush, Reggie Wayne, all 10 of GBs WRs) I think it would be a different story.bysbox1;2532501 said:And it's okay to do that from time to time. Romo trys to do it ALL the time.
And lately the improvisation has given us disaterous results.
The best thing that could happen to Romo is to get David Lee back, or get a Holmgren to coach him up. Someone to rein him in a bit and force him to understand when he needs to make a play, and when he needs to play within himself.
Romo has 30 turnovers this year. You will not survive in the NFL with that many turnovers per year. Compare that to Matt Cassell (18), Drew Brees (24, and he was slinging it all over the place), Peyton Manning (13), Aaron Rogers (23), I could keep going, but you get the point. Romo has way too many turnovers, and I would not be surprised if he led the NFL in QB turnovers right now.

His carefree backyard ball mentality is good for at least 2 turnovers per game. You can not expect to win consistently in the NFL if you always have to make up for 2 turnovers every game.
Romo HAS to understand that it is okay to throw the ball away, or take the sack. Live for another down. But do not give the ball back to the other team and give them all the momentum.
You would have thought he would have learned that with Parcells here . . . I mean that's exactly how he beat the Colts 2 years ago. Maintain field position, make no turnovers, and give the TEAM the best chance to win. He has not learned or retained the lesson.
I agree he's not the total problem with the team, but to he needs to get his share of the blame along with everyone else on this team.

When only Brett Favre, the all time INT leader, throws interceptions at a higher rate per pass attempt than you in the entire league, and you have 13 fumbles in 13 games(losing 7 of em) after having 10 fumbles(2 lost) in 16 last season which was still too much, you have some serious problems with your QB play that need to change.Future;2532369 said:I agree with most of you, but Romo's mentality comes from trying to make plays. From playing hard. I know there are times it doesn't work, but thats the kind of QB he is. He wants to win, and will try to put a team on his shoulders to do so. Knocking that is shameful.
I KNOW I've agreed with that the whole time. The Panch;2532599 said:When only Brett Favre, the all time INT leader, throws interceptions at a higher rate per pass attempt than you in the entire league, and you have 13 fumbles in 13 games(losing 7 of em) after having 10 fumbles(2 lost) in 16 last season which was still too much, you have some serious problems with your QB play that need to change.
Terence Newman700;2532246 said:I'm seeing a ton of hate for him.......Honestly i may get flamed, but you all can kiss my ***, like i said a few mins ago.....Romo is still my damn QB
he makes head scratching decisions, but with Time, and decent play calling, Romo is the best there is......we all seen that
When you mix in these BS Routes that take time...along with an O-Line that is getting beat...*** do you expect?.....if he throws it quick n gets it picked off, you all want his head....if he Holds onto to it and gets hit, and fumbles you all want his head...if he throws it away its "*** romo!" like he cant win
Our Play calling and O line, do not put him in the best position to succeed...i guess we cant Drew Bledsoe and Brad johnson days back......Give him a healthy O-Line...and better play calling when the O Line Struggles, and he will produce, he can only do whats told, and work with whats given
I'm not ready to give up on my QB yet..nobody gets that bad in the middle of the season...the romo we are use to is a guy throwing 3Td's 300 yards, and 1 int.....which is real good....something with our O Changed..they players said it, and broadcasters even pointed the finger at garret along with TO n Romo...TO a guy whos not scraed to say if its the QB or not
Slashar00;2532584 said:I agree with this, but he should NOT be the scapegoat in all of this. Romo's turnovers in this game started happening when we were down like 30 pts. I would rather him be a gunslinger and get blown out than checkdown punt and lose without trying.
Furthermore, WHAT OPTIONS DO WE HAVE? No options. Romo may choke in big games, but without him, WE DON'T PLAY IN ANY BIG GAMES. This team is overrated. The offensive line is waaaaay overrated. Without Romo we're back to that mid-season 1-2 team that can't protect the QB or score a TD.
Romo is the only chance we have. I bet everyone in the league believes that except for Dallas fans. It's silly.

No less fantastic than our playcalling, run game, pass blocking, inability of WRs to get open, and general disinterest.GY78;2532737 said:He is? Oh sure..
