Ok, fine call it on him even though no other WR in the NFL usually gets that called, but tell me, how was it different from when the thug Moss pushed off one of our DBs?

(other than the true reason, namely, Miles is a Cowboy and Moss isn't)

I saw it all day....anyone catch Andre Johnson push off the Chiefs' CB for the catch?

Like you said.....

How long does it take for them to call that play. One, they never call that. But these refs were throwing flags from all across the field. When is the NFL going to change the rule about P/I calls when you have no hell in chance to catch a ball?

Don't care if it was a good or bad call. It was the dumbest thing Austin could do. Heck, when he scores he usually does a low key celebration. So why in the world on a TD which he not even involved in did he have to celebrate? Just plain stupid, stupid, stupid. Do these players just think only of themselves or do they think how to help their team?

WRs do that on every play and NEVER get called. We get called for every single ticky tack penalty possible.

I couldnt recall a single time I remember someone like Jerry Rice or Randy Moss having a TD negated by an offensive PI on one of them. And both of them made a living of it, especially in the redzone.

It was a pretty lame call.

We don't get the calls. Plain and simple...

Oh we get the calls...we get it right up our rear ends with the calls

No excuse for the kind of officiating we saw today. This game was borderline fixed.

Because the DB fell down. But I'm not sure a flag if Randy Moss did the same thing.

He extended the arm and the DB fell down out on an island with no one around.

Of course that was going to be called.

It was pretty horrible. The PI call on Austin was totally bogus.

He was talking about Miles' TD that was called back.

It was no different from a lot of other plays I'd seen today.

Not only that, how many times have our WRs been shoved past five yards? I don't blame Miles for putting a hand out there.....you just know he'd get grabbed and nothing would be called.

That doesn't get called if that corner doesn't flop and fall. I think falling sort of forced the refs hands.

I saw that right before the start of the Cowboy game, my thing is that the NFL refs are getting like the NBA refs, in the NBA the refs all have different views on how they call fouls, travels, violations. They need to get on the same page and start calling it even, I mean if they do it call it, don't get like well it's MOss he can do that but Austin can't. That's the NBA attitude of letting the stars dictate what's called.

That PI call against Austin may have been the difference. We lost by less than a touchdown. A lot of other stuff went wrong, so I'm not saying that's the only reason, but when Miles made that spectacular catch and run, that crowd was stunned. I really believe we would've kept the lead after that, but we'll never know. The officials should not affect the outcome of games. They really shouldn't.

On another note, the PI on Jenkins late in the game looked ticky tack to me. The ball was not catchable (way too high). Was Jenkins touching the guy? Yes, but I have seen worse not called. It happened at a critical time.

I think that particular call is dependent on the ref who who calls it, some give more leeway than others. I think the thing that drew the flag was that Miles fully extended his arm on the play, if he doesn't fully extend his arm the flag most likely never hits the field. Ofcoarse the way this team collects penalties who knows for sure.

If you go back and look at the replay the CB was grabbing Miles when he fell down.

No it wasn't. He fully extended his arm right into the DB's chest as he was making his cut, and pushed him off. Didn't help of course that the guy fell down. But the real bogus thing was that he didn't need to do it. Just make a good cut and you've got separation.

Maybe other teams or WR's don't get called for it, but usually it's a lot less blatant than that one was.

The one really BS call I had a problem with was the PI on Jenkins against Berrian at the end of the game. Both guys pushing and grabbing. The pass was way too high. Ref is 20 yards away running away from the play. That one fired me up.

Even so, he extended the arm, the db fell down, and they were all alone out there.

It was gonna be called.
