While I think that the boys will stay at 9 and pick I’ve elected to trade down in the first.
First trade: Boys trade #9 (1350 pts) & #40 (500 pts) to NE for #17 (950 pts), #33 (580 pts), #60 (300 pts). 1850 vs. 1830

17: Two options IMO for this pick. You take which ever one is still there.
(JJ Watt, Gabe Carimi) First and best case scenario is watt.
So,

Option 1:

Round 1
#17: JJ Watt

With the 33rd pick we can reach for whatever player we want. If someone is really high on our board we snag him. The player I have my eye set on is Ingram. However, I don’t think he slides this far and trade this pick away.
Second trade: Boys trade #33 (580 pts) & # 176 (21 pts) to Titans for #39 (520) & # 108 (78 pts)

Round 2
#39: Curtis Brown
Davon House is another player I would look at here.

#60: Marcus Cannon

Round 3
#71: Stefen Wisniewski
This has become one of my favorite draft picks.

Round 4
#109: John Moffitt
#110: Marvin Austin
Tough pick for me. I think Austin could slide this far. Casey Mathews is another player to consider.

Round 5
#143: Alex Henry

Round 7
#219: Searcy Da’norris
#251: Zane Taylor

Option 2
17: Gabe Carimi
The rest of the draft remains the same except for round 2.

#60 Sam Acho
Another possibility here is Dontay Moch

IMO Tyron Smith at #9 is far more value than anything you can get trading down.

I don't understand how you can say a unproven one player is more of a value than any players I can get trading down.

What if I trade back enough times to get an extra 2nd and 3rd.
I walk out the draft with
round 1 Carimi, Sherrod, Castanzo
round 2. Brandon Harris or Aaron Williams
round 2 Marcus Cannon
round 3 Kendrick Ellis or Jarvis Jenkins
round 3 Will Rackley

I get two extra players and still have a day one starting RT. I get a replacement at both OG spots. How is a RT, RG, and LG not better value than Smith? You need to step back and stop drinking the Tyron Smith koolaid for a second.

What if Dallas traded back enough times and then traded the extra 2nd and 3rd for a late 1st and got Pouncey or Phil Taylor.
Your going to tell me Carimi or Sherrod and Taylor or Pouncey isn't better value than just picking Smith. Sorry man but I totally disagree with you.

I think we need to take advantage of being in the top 10 this year.

If you can trade down and still get your top guy then it's worth it, don't trade down just to add an extra pick and miss out on the guy.

Point blank, if you trade down you lose value. The only time you trade down is if you don't see value at your current spot. There is no question that there is value to be had at #9 if Tyron Smith is on the board. You don't trade down *just to get more picks*. Especially when you are drafting a high profile position. (QB, tackle, or a pass rusher)

Tyron Smith is not a great pick for us. He is gonna be a LT and we already have one, Free is a player. We are better off trying to find someone who is more of a RT.

I'd like more of a mauler @ RT. Smith could possibly do it but I haven't seen it.

He's going to be a heck of a pass protector and he is going to be good at getting his body in position on any type of block.

Who are you projecting that the Patriots would want to trade up to #9 to get?

I could see the pats moving up to get Smith or one of the dlineman who slip.

why??

Good effort Son. Would rather see us take Carimi but I like Watt a lot. Any draft that brings us Carimi, Wisneiski and Mott, you can sign me up for.

:)
