For those interested in vick with cowboys, im not, but thought some of you would like to know this;

Michael Vick-QB- Falcons Jul. 23 - 7:06 pm et

Michael Vick will be suspended four games after being conditionally reinstated next week, according to Sal Paolantonio on ESPNews.

Vick can now sign with any team that will have him -- and participate in training camp -- but he'll then be unavailable until Week 5. Goodell reportedly told Vick that any future issues will result in stiffer punishment. Though it's not Vick's best-case scenario, it's still good news for the former felon who could have been facing a full-season suspension.

Chris Wells-RB- Cardinals Jul. 23 - 6:21 pm et

The Arizona Republic's Kent Somers agrees with beat writer Darren Urban's prediction that Tim Hightower will open the season as the Cardinals' starting running back.

Hightower will definitely enter training camp as the starter, but Wells will force the coaches to make a tough decision if he shows blitz pickup skills and big-play ability in preseason action. Considering the talent differential, Wells will push Hightower into a situational role sooner rather than later.

Darian Barnes-RB- Saints Jul. 23 - 5:47 pm et

Saints released FB Darian Barnes.

Barnes was signed last season when Mike Karney sprained an MCL. He was expendable after the team signed Heath Evans earlier this offseason.

Joseph Addai-RB- Colts Jul. 23 - 5:44 pm et

According to the Indianapolis Star, the Colts are "not totally satisfied with what they're getting out of Joseph Addai."

The "football scientist" K.C. Joyner recently pointed out that Addai did well when his linemen blocked poorly, but he couldn't break big plays when he had clear lanes. That doesn't bode well for future fantasy success. His YPC has dropped steadily from 4.8 as a rookie to 3.5 last year, and his contract is up after 2010.

Michael Vick-QB- Falcons Jul. 23 - 5:29 pm et

According to SI.com's Don Banks, the much-anticipated meeting between commissioner Roger Goodell and Michael Vick took place on Wednesday afternoon at a security firm in New Jersey.

Both men were seen leaving leaving the firm separately yesterday afternoon. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello refused to confirm or deny the meeting. There's no word on whether Vick showed "true remorse," but he reportedly looked somber after the meeting. Goodell has said he will rule on Vick's possible reinstatement "sometime in the near future.

Sam Bradford-QB- Player Jul. 23 - 5:10 pm et

The NFL draft will be moved to primetime for the first time in 2010.

The first round will start on Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The second and third rounds will resume on Friday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m., with Rounds 4-7 picking up at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

i think Dallas ranks at about #32 in the league with interest in Vick. Vick will NOT be a Cowboy in the near future..... Take that to the bank.

Love the new draft setup, although it being on Thursday kind of limits my beer-drinkability.

Set up isn't too bad, 3 days of it now, and nothing ever interferes with beer drinking :D

Nothing would shock me with Jerry. I've already said I think he will bring Pacman back.

This would be par for the course with Jerry.

apparently Hostile has it on good info that Jerry abhors Vick's crime

so I seriously doubt he will have any interest in Vick

I've seen a few of Hos' posts on it.

I'm not saying its gonna happen, I'm saying I won't be shocked if it did. Nothing would shock me with Jerry.

What ever team Vicks ends up on, when his team plays in the new Cowboy stadium, I want the song, who let the dogs out playing over the loudspeaker system when his team runs on the field.. and after the play is over which Vick carried the ball, have dogs barking over the speaker system

Oh yes, how silly of me for mentioning the teams that have a fetish for crooks or high profile names.

I definitely see the Skins or Raiders going after him, but not us.

It seems Jerry just doesn't want that negative publicity this time around with Vick. But publicity is publicity to The Boss, so you can ultimately never count out the Cowboys in this type of situation.

he wont be in Dallas, for sure, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him in Oakland. I can't imagine whose going to want to take on that PR nightmare but it's going to be interesting to see who finally does.

Jones is already on record saying the team has absolutely zero interest in Vick. Which is the way it should be.

ESPN backtracks on Vick suspension report
Posted by Mike Florio on July 24, 2009 12:01 AM ET
Continuing arguably one of its worst weeks since becoming an international sports powerhouse, ESPN has backtracked on its report that quarterback Mike Vick will be suspended four games to start the 2009 regular season.

Controversy erupted on Twitter in the aftermath of the initial report, with NFL spokesman Greg Aiello stating, "Despite what ESPN says, commish has made no decisions on MVick."

The remark was "retweeted" by NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy. ESPN's Chris Mortensen responded with a tweet of his own, "Despite what anyone says, ESPN did not report a decision has been made, based on what I just read on dot.com."

Not long thereafter, Mort clarified himself.

"I take that back," he said. "After this 12-hr drive, I just read the espn.com story and the lead is erroneous. Guess I can't get to bed yet."

The story from ESPN.com currently reads that Vick is expected to be conditionally reinstated, and that the decision could include a four-game suspension.
