I can't wait till the season starts and they get their *** handed to them by the Bears. I can't wait till the season ends and their Commanders, after enduring another 6-10 season, are sitting at home watching teams that are actually talented head to the playoffs. (Which won't include the Cowboys unless a lot of things happen.)

Most of all, I can't wait until we beat their *** twice this year.

No...they don't. We are certainly homers, no doubt about that. We, however, have some sense when it comes to evaluation of talent. I certainly don't feel as if we are the greatest team in the league, which is what they would have you believe about the Commanders.

And they predict a sweep of the Cowboys when they have a hard enough time almost beating us once. Give me a break...

Their DC and defense are top 5, but they lost Pierce and Smoot. Rogers will be a good one but he does have a foot injury to overcome so that has to be a bit of a question mark.

Their RB was a top 5 guy but is coming off a disappointing season and people are going to wonder if he was just another Bronco RB putting up big numbers. I'd still have to give Portis the benefit of the doubt and leave him in the top 5 for another year.

Sorry..but I have to disagree.

I realize that it is envogue to be the first poster to respond with a counterpoint (like Eddie does at least twice a day)

But I assume the poster is comparing extremeskins and this board. I frequent both often.
There are some really cool guys over there and many are very insightful.

I visit this page daily and feel that I can make a solid judgement on the two boards.

This page is much and I do mean MUCH more grounded. There are a lot of reasons for that. I think the biggest is that the extremskins board is humongous!! I'm sure most of the knuckleheads and extreme homers over there are teenagers.

This board I guarantee would have an older average age.

The next big difference to me is the moderators. They have some very good moderators on that board, like HENRY. But they have so many members that the 4 or 5 moderators are not noticed, except for one..ART. They are drowned out in a way by ART ( The world's biggest homer and bag of hot air I might add.)
This board's moderators are not like that at all ( In fact I view Brainpaint and Hostile as very ANTI-HOMER). I think the moderators set the tone,and they do a good job here.

I realize that we are talking about fans of a team, so there is definately going to bias. There will always be a few ultra homers on any team forum. But I challenge anyone to go through this board and find that the above statements (regarding the best of the best) being made about the Cowboys on this board. And if you do find one of these statements I double-dog guarantee you that it was refuted a few posts later.

In contrast, I would say any person with a modicum of perception would quickly note the differences in the two boards.

Arguably they do. He is not the surest runner, but he makes the most big plays.

At one point that was true. Now he has quite a bit of catching up to do.

The defense's stats were over-inflated by how awful the offense was. This happened to Dallas in 2003. It is hard for stats to show this, as we discovered in many threads. Few sacks and forced turnovers, sound familiar?

The rookie would need the blocking, receivers, and consistent running Big Ben had last year. I look for Rothlisburger to slide back a bit as that offense adjusts to Bettis' decline and the loss of Burress.

When it comes to making/spending money he is the best. He is also the very best at interfering with and ruining his teams' personnel and salary cap.

This guy is the biggest and most overrated jerk in the NFL. It would be the greatest addition by subtraction if they traded him-- given the bizarrely good reputation he has, they might even get something good in return.

According to Deadskins fans they have so much more talent than we do. It's an " upset " everytime we beat them. Also their receiver core will be better and automatically their defense will be number 1 because it was LAST YEAR. We know all about that. Most cases it doesn't translate this way.

Seriously, if their DC is able to do a similar job this year with Walt Harris replacing Smoot, nothing on the DL, and apparently a sock puppet replacing Pierce, along with compensating for Errington's personal fouls and mental lapses, he should get coordinator of the Decade.

The difference between Cowboys fans and Commanders fans can be summarized as follows.

It's no secret that the Eagles have owned the Cowboys for the last few years (likewise the Cowboys have basically owned the Commanders for the last 15 games in the series)

I personally know of no Cowboys fan going around spouting off about how we are going to sweep the Eagles this season. Now, I believe that many of us Cowboys fans are optimistic about our chances of being competitive against the Eagles, perhaps going even as far as splitting the series (maybe even taking back the NFC East crown).

Commanders fans, on the other hand, will just sit there and talk trash no matter what the situation is. You'd think that after 15 games, Commanders fans would have learned to keep their mouth shut. No way, the empty and meaningless smack will just keep coming.

And so will the excuses.
