ESPN.com reports the New England Patriots are no longer interested in acquiring suspended Tennessee Titans CB Pacman Jones.

Just saw this on kffl.com.

Not sure if this has already been covered regarding the Pats. If so, please merge, mods.

Good, the price just dropped some more.

Maybe they didn't like his interview with Irvin? :laugh2:

Sounds like we are bidding against ourselves at this point.
:D

This blurb on PacMan was next to a blurb on Merriman's car getting stolen and torched. It's not really funny and I don't mean to giggle, but . . . .

(He did have insurance, so he gets a new Merc anyway.)

I don't understand why anyone would be interested in that punk.

Can anyone say 5th or 6th? Git'r done Jerry.

Keep the numbers small and incentive laden and if the kid can't stay straight, then cut him.

We lose a 5th or 6th that we usually cut anyways. :(

Last year we drafted 2 players in the 6th round, one of whom was Nick Folk and he sure produced for us. The other 6th rounder was CB Courtney Brown who Wade moved to FS; wouldn't be surprised if Brown was our FS starter in 1-2 years particularly if we can't afford re-sign Hamlin.

Pacman Jones Appears on Poster Promoting Party Where They're Going to Make It Rain

This poster comes courtesy of ********. It features suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam Pacman Jones promoting the National Street League's Grey Goose Party 2008, which takes place on Sunday, March 30. And it includes the words, "WE GON MAKE IT RAIN!"

If there's one person on earth who should definitely not allow his name and likeness to be used in association with "making it rain," it's Pacman Jones, the man whose NFL career came to a halt when he was accused of inciting a riot at a strip club by making it rain, i.e., throwing dollar bills in the air to make it look like it's raining money, and then attacking a stripper who dared to actually pick up some of the money.

Many people in and around the NFL think Commissioner Roger Goodell will end Jones' suspension, possibly as soon as within the next month. I'm not so sure. Jones just doesn't seem like he gets it.

Wow Catch! You really have an axe to grind w/ this kid. You act like he shot your dog or something.

People really need to calm down over Jones possibly joining this club.

If I remember right Catch, weren't you the same way regarding the Owens rumors of him joining the club?

Helllllll no

I was the captain of that ship. I wanted Tank Johnson too. I was the Captain of that ship as well.

And no people dont need to calm down about it. Its just another case of his idiocy.

Anyone with a brain in his situation would know better.

Last year, we took a K in the 6th round because we didn't have a kicker, really.

We also took a FB in Anderson in the 6th round because Hoyte wasn't overly impressive, apparently, to the coaching staff.

In the 6th this year, we can get a developmental QB perhaps, a WR prospect who likely won't be able to beat our any of our WRs, an offensive line player who at best would be behind our starters + McQ, Free, and Marten. Or perhaps a DL prospect who would be behind Ratliff, Canty, Spears, Bowen, Hatcher, and Johnson. Or a LBer who can sit behind Ware, Spencer, Carpenter, Ellis, Ayodele, James, Thomas, Burnett. Or perhaps a developmental S to sit behind Williams, Brown, Hamlin, and Watkins.

So.... if I had to guess, with the 6th round, the best chances for a player to stick on our roster would be if we took a developmental QB, a 3rd RB, maybe a backup FB, CB.....or we could use it to get a CB who can come in and play nickle/PR.

Given our current team, I'd say its worth the gamble.

Of course you having all of the brains...do. People make mistakes. That party image you keep showing. Has that even been verified? Its just a picture w/ his face on it. I dunno...call me skeptical. I have been to many parties where they advertised bands who would be there and they weren't. They advertised stars that would be there and they weren't. I am just saying. Calm down a bit and let this play out a bit before having a coronary over it.

He will most likely be a Cowboy. You might want to just accept it and move on.

The need to pass out fake dollar bills at Texas Stadium, so whenever Pac-Man makes a big play, everyone can throw them and shout Make It Rain. You'd like that, wouldn't ya, Catch.

This may be nothing. Sports stars are always used to promote these kind of club parties. Doesn't mean that PacMan is going to be there..."to make it rain".

These clubs will do anything to boost attendance.

this is already in another thread catch17. i knew you'd love it cause you can wrap your hate around it.

however, put it down for a bit and do some research on those who put that flyer and that "night" together. you won't find a lot. how about not instantly looking through hate for a bit?
