According to ESPN playoff simulator

Assuming GB beats Carolina, then GB gets beat by Minnesota, the lions lose one game, and Atlanta loses one game not counting Carolina then we would get in no matter the outcome of the final Atl/Car game.

I know its confusing but if Atlanta won then we would own the tie breaker over Carolina at 10-6. If Carolina won then Atlanta would be eliminated at 9-7.

Again this is according the ESPN simulator. I know a lot can happen between now and three weeks from now but there are some scenarios as mentioned here where Atlanta does not have to lose two games.

HOWEVER, we need to root for the Rams to continue winning. Lets assume all things are equal above and the Rams lose to either the Titans or the 49ers after getting beat by Seattle then we would miss the playoffs even with a victory over Seattle as all three would be 10-6. Of course if the Rams beat Seattle that would greatly help us.

There are a lot of games for us to keep an eye on in the coming weeks. I would hate for all things to fall how they need to and the Rams lose to the 49ers and that keep us out of the playoffs.

The most likely way for Dallas to get in might result in back-to-back trips to Philadelphia.

The easiest path IMO is Carolina winning out, NO winning out and us winning out.

I think this scenario fails to take into account the Lions. If they win out too, where's that put us? There would be no head to head matchup and we'd both have the same conference record.

Lol. You could just see something like that happening, right?

Last time we played Philly back to back, we smoked them. Granted, that was in Dallas.

My two fond memories of those games were Jackson mouthing off the week before the playoff game saying there was no way they'd lose to us again........... and we went out and kicked the living poop out of them again.

The other memory is McNabb playing air guitar like a moron walking out onto the field. What a clown.

I ask because I don't know............ but didn't there used to be a rule that divisional teams could not face each other in the WC round? Or did I totally make that crap up?

Then it goes to the “Friday Night Lights” coin flip!

Used to be in MLB but was changed, not sure when though.

It remains an uphill battle. We win either way as long as we play well and the secondary continues to imrpove and we see what we have in Jaylon. I would rather us sneak in as a hot team, but if not, we need to know what we have so we can hopefully get ready to improve for next year.

That was baseball, until they added the second wild card.

We'd have to play somebody in between, unless PHI really falls apart here at the end.

I haven't checked, but Rams > Eagles > Vikings seems like a possible path for the 6th seed if we're good enough to earn that. That seems like a pretty good path for this team if it were to happen. That LA game would be a home game for the Cowboys. Than a revenge game up in Wentzylvania. Then a really tough but potentially winnable game up in the Superbowl venue in that new stadium against a former Cowboy coordinator. Would be a fun little run.
