No college coach has done less with more over the last 10 years than Mack Brown. I NC, 1 other appearence in the NC game and that with arguably the most talent of any college program over those ten years.

sour grapes how do they taste. Funny most Texas fans who have seen some poor coaches here at Texas and know what the program was like before Mack got would disagree but then when a guy as a dislike for the Horns these statements are expected.

i hear this all the time and think it couldn't be farther from the truth, sometimes other teams are better, sometimes you lose to equally great programs like OU and thats all it takes to not go all the way. do you expect Texas to win every year? every other year? 10 wins in every year but this one and always competing for BCS bowls i think he has done great. I'm sure the fans of Alabama, Georgia, Ohio state, Florida, and USC all say their teams have had the best talent over the past ten years as well.

Hmmm...I wonder if he is going to go pro...I wouldn't be shocked to see him in Denver.

I wonder how many recruits de-commit?

"As he was finishing, he was telling us for most of us this will be good because some of us need to start over and make a new impression with another coach. Near the end of the speech the freshman class was going crazy, saying they were all leaving and they kind of lost it for the most part. It really hit those guys hard, but to the others it was not as emotional. It was mainly a dead silence and everyone other than the freshmen were just looking around.

if those freshmen were smart, they would either stay, or all go to the same place

University of Central Florida would be more than happy to give those poor wayward souls a football field to play on (not the laptop steeling ones, though)! :)

I'm sure he sat in each and every one of their living rooms and swore up and down to their faces that his "career crisis" from last year was resolved, and he would undoubtedly be there for their entire careers. I generally believe most college coaches are scum. It takes a special type of human being to sit in the living rooms of poor kids and poor families and ask them to spend their one golden ticket out of decades of poverty on a bill of goods you may or may not have any plans on providing them. That the NCAA punishes these kids who want to transfer after their coaches abandon them by docking one year of their eligibility is deplorable.

Bama and Georgia could come out large here. Several of Florida's recruits came down to Florida and those two schools.
