They also resigned a versatile lineman in Adam Snyder.

Coupled with moving up in the draft at a bargain cost and the rich get richer.

Signs of a well run organization. Their line is very good, yet they are going after any player that could offer an upgrade on their roster.

Are you saying that Dallas shouldn't be looking fot starters? They sure need three positions on the line upgraded. There is no excuse for not going after the best UDFA linemen. I know the Cowboys limited themselves with this move. It's funny that the rest of the NFL goes after the best UDFAs that they can get. The Cowboys are trendsetters I guess. They have decided to pick up the scraps from other teams and their fans love it.

In a perfect world , I would love for Dallas to develop their practice squad players into Pro Bowlers, but I settle for any practice squad member to make the active roster, and then go from there. And yes, suprisedly, you are correct about Dallas being trend setters in finding UDFAs, with the development of of Romo, Austin, and to a lesser degree, Church. So trying to throw around your anti-Jerry rhetoric on this particular subject really doesn't make a whole lot of sense imo.

Such low expectations for a well run organization. Just getting to a Superbowl alone isn't enough, or so I've been told.

I guess some just have been lulled into lower expectations by years of futility in SF.

Did I mention Jerry Jones? I don't know who made this decision, but I would bet that Jerry didn't come up with the ideal. You are certainly welcome to disagree, but the trend that Dallas has set by not going after UDFA to upgrade the oline roster is a dumb one. Other teams don't limit themselves from gaining potential talent upgrades. It never ceases to surprise me that fans will defend any move that this team makes, even when the moves don't have a lick of common sense involved.

I don't understand your use of "low expectation" to describe a team that always looking to upgrade. They have one of the best olines in the NFL and they still leave no rock unturned looking for ways to improve the team. Seems like they are not going to settle for playoff wins. They are hungry to win a Super Bowl.

I know you have "low expectations" carved in your brain due to me any many others calling you out on your opinions that reflect your low standards for the Cowboys. It just doesn't apply to the current version of the 49ers. I have hated the 49ers all my life, but I respect the outstanding team they have put together, the coaches and GM.

I guess i just can't get past their record of futility over the last ten years and counting.

Anything less than a Superbowl victory just isn't good enough.
