You know that's not true.

He's sat out the last game of the season in both 2016 and 2018.

He wasn't punished at all. He still got more carries than the better RB Sunday.

In fact, he got his 3rd most amount of carries he's gotten this season.
Cheese or tissue?

You want some cheese to go with that whine or some tissue to go with that crying?

Yup.

They really showed Zeke by giving him 5 more carries than Pollard while averaging 3 less YPC.

Lesson learned.

Well in the game before they gave Pollard more carries while averaging 2.5 less YPC so I fail to see the issue here.

Or are these numbers only important when they favor your guy?

P.S. I already know the answer so don't bother..

Even you must understand the difference between being benched vs being rested. But maybe I'm giving you too much credit?

Reducing a running back's workload while giving him the same pay. What a punishment.

Cowboys handed down light punishment to Zeke for really a minor infraction. No big deal no one is upset but McCarthy saw fit to handle it. Bottom line there is accountability from this HC

and yet, Jerry was joking about it the next day on the radio. That's the problem with this team. Jerry needs to shut up and stay away. He's sending mixed signals to the players.
Jerry should stick to his Black Label and his lounge lizards.

Something we haven’t seen since the Parcels days. We saw it Sunday night with the benching of Zeke on the first 2 series of the game. Apparently Zeke’s phone went off during a meeting which is a big no no. Rules are rules and this particular rule is a good one. Distractions are disruptive. As much as I appreciate Zeke and what he brings to the table I was all for his benching,

This holding accountable a player of Zeke’s caliber, or any player for that matter, is something that has been sorely missing for many years now. Previous coach’s, minus Parcels who would tell Jerry to concentrate on his lounge lizards and let me handle the football stuff, wouldn’t openly do this. McCarthy is a different cat. He’s done some things and said some things that Jerry probably doesn’t agree with. He knows it, but in the interest of the team, he did/said those things anyways.

Bottom line is that you must hold players accountable for their mistakes. Otherwise they will continue to make the same mistakes. Holding Zeke accountable for a minor cell phone violation sends a big time message to the rest of the team. Concentrate on your business or else.
Any excuse to start pollard will do. Cowboys taking full advantage of those opportunities this year.

Jerry has been the antithesis of accountability in the organization since Jimmy left. The lack of accountability at the top of this organization means there cannot be any accountability anywhere else. Jerry has let players slide many times over the years-
Some examples that come to mind:

  • 2017- Zeke Elliott- This was shown on the NFL show “All or Nothing”. In the game at Denver in 2017 in which the Cowboys got spanked, late in the game Dak threw a pick in which Elliott clearly loafed, not even trying to make the tackle after the INT. The coaches wanted Zeke to be punished. Jerry overruled his coaches saying “Zeke has been through too much” because of the NFL investigation of him at that time. It’s on the second or third episode of that show.
I’m sure there’s more. But it’s clear, Jerry is too often soft on accountability. Starting with himself.

I wonder if TRomo or JWitt phone ever "accidentally" went off?. I wonder.

And as for the "Bottom line is that you must hold players accountable for their mistakes."........what about "bonehead" or pre-snap penalties on the field too? We've all seen the bonehead or pre-snap penalties, as our team is always at the top with penalites.

Furthermore, why is JJ doing the punishment or talking to the media about the punishment? I.E......this is a bunch of #$$#$ and JJ talks too much. (OBJ knee problem).

And I think discipline should be on the team........just not "selective" punishment, including coaching errors too.

I haven't seen anything, or maybe I missed it, but do you guys know if Zeke and/or Dak were fined for jumping in the kettle last week?

dude you clearly don’t get it…such s rube fan…don’t you know he’s softening them up. That’s why he goes down on first contact so often, he wants to punish the d one at a time, and he’s elite at it.

I swear some fans are more loyal to the team than individual players

A culture shift?
I welcome it!
