So, the defense plays bad, we look at Wade.

The offense plays bad, we look at Garrett.

The offensive line plays badly.....

How come here no one calls Houck out? I know the guy has a reputation and all, but cmon.

For what? Giants ran zone blitz for most of the game one main reason they had been getting killed with the run. Dallas put up almost 400 yards passing because the Giants were willing to put pressure up front to stop the run. This game came down to a few big plays where the Cowboys screwed up and in some instance over pursued allowing the backside plays to kill us.

check some of my posts, ive been calling for the lower coaches all season. Accountability is stupid, the Eagles have been playing that angle for years, you can see what thats done for the team and their morale of winning Super Bowls.

I want an explosion on the coaching staff in the offseason, if it was up to me Garrett would be walking home from NY.

This game was on defense, plain and simple. But a lot of other games, we would get a big gain on offense just for it to be called back, almost automatically if you saw a big play, you knew it was coming.

True yet over the last 2 games we have only committed 5 penalties in each game that is an improvement but of course it is not mentioned because people are upset right now. As disappointing of a game this was there were many positives as well, I don't expect the defense to make these mistakes and feel this offense will continue I also think RW will play a big part in this as Romo looks to be getting more comfortable with him.

Why not blame the players for a change? If they didn't screw up we wouldn't be talking about the coaches.

Exactly. It's time for the players to step up and win despite the crappy coaches. We need the Vets and the few leaders on the team to start bumping heads or die. If the men on the team can't rally the boys then we don't have any.......

Jerry Jones did today on the fan, said that maybe enough practice was done during the week on the offensive line, he pointed to houck and offensive coaches more then he did wade, but that was to defuse the issue to get critism off of wade, because earlier before that question was asked about wade, jerry said blocking assignments were executed properly, all players are aware now of what they didnt do

No one is accountable on the Cowboys. ****ty play is accepted. Horrible play calling is accepted. Lazy and worthless players are accepted and paid well.

Heck, even most fans accept garbage as evidenced on this board with all the clowns who continually make excuses for failure.

I make no excuse for a loss I also do not over react. I'm not claiming SB after a win and I'm not bagging the team when we lose. Dallas does control their own right now and there are others wishing they were sitting where we are. Calling people clowns because they support and back this team and believe in them well then call me a clown it beats the hell out of the overreaction crowd who freaks out any time this team drops a game. One thing I have learned over the years of playing organized sports is you will lose some games you should have won and win some game you should have lost and the only important game is the next one.

Really, I think Special Teams let us down the most on Sunday. Those 168 return yards were the most telling stat of the day.
But they've played well most of the season so Joe D get a pass.

Dooms, I get what you are saying, but when is enough, enough? I have defended the Cowboys all season. I have bashed the doom and gloom crowd. But at some point we have to take a real look at the issues. Do you really believe, deep in your heart, this team as it is comprised right now can win a Super Bowl? You know I don't think you are a clown and most others here understand I have been ranting like a lunatic the last couple of days, but the facts are what they are. We can not win when we have to. That has been our MO for way too long and you know it.

I defend them because I believe in them, you nor anyone else has to defend the Cowboys. I always take a real look at the team I look at where mistakes are and I look to see where positive are taking place and do so after each win and each loss. I don't over react to one over the other.

Right now I doubt many can see any positives in the Giants game yet there were some good things to build on and yes some mistakes that need to be corrected and these mistakes in this game are not the same mistakes that have cost us this year.

Before this past game the special teams have done very well now they had a break down and we suck? defense has played well this year and has done a good job at limiting teams from making big plays but we give up some and now we suck?

You asked do I think this is a SB team right now? No they are not playing like a SB team but then you don't win SB in Dec. For this team they need to continue to work on improving, they need to focus on SD and winning their division. If they can do that and continue working they give themselfs a chance. Last year the Cards had a bad Dec yet ended up in the SB where they a SB team?

I've thought about this as well. Houck is the highest-paid OL coach in the world and we have a lot of talented players up front. So why do we struggle there?

I wouldn't say at this stage of their careers that our OLine is loaded with talent. It's above average for sure, but not elite...imo.

you can be accountable all you want, it doesnt take away the bad play. I dont care if Sensabaugh or Spencer take accountability, a bad play is a bad play, but the bad coaching is showing as well. Why are db's playing 10 yards off the reciever.

Why in San Diego Wade would have his defense kill the QB, but here our guys can barely touch the guy? Why is Bret Maxie still a coach here?

And if it is our players, why isnt the scouting department being axed? Who is to blame there, the players or the bad scouting?

Why are DB 5 to 10 yards off the WR? they are not always 5 to 10 yards off in some zone coverages they will be playing off the line of scrimmage it really depends on the defense that is being called at any given time.

Does that fall on the players?

I don't think the blame can go completely on the staff or the players. There is no point in bringing up Jerry,he's untouchable.

I think I would like to see a head coach with more energy,a figure that can inspire the players and his staff to be great.Unfortunately Wade does not have those abilities, that doesn't make him a bad person.Just a bad fit in Dallas in my opinion.

The players have been put in situations to succeed, and at times have.I think what this team lacks is a dominant leader. They just don't have one in my estimation.I think Witten,Romo,Ware,James and Brooking can say the right things and are considered to be statesmen of the team but none of them have the ability to grab this team by the throat and lead it.This team needs a catalyst to rally the troops and I don't see one.

Another possibility is that we have an average staff and average players.Put those two together and you get a team good enough to compete on most weeks and on some weeks they get embarrassed.

It is a team it falls to everyone players and coaches alike. Same for when we win games. When a player fails to execute the coach needs to find out why and try to correct it. Did the player fail to read his keys?

In this past game it really came down to guys being over aggressive and losing their responsibilities on the backside of plays. Coaches need to make sure guys are playing their responsibilities in this case.

I hope what Romo said last week is true and that is this team not looking to point fingers at each other but what each man needs to do to help this team win games. Let the media and fans point fingers this team has no time for that.
