Actor & Role III

Best role: Unforgiven

Worst role: Any Which Way You Can (should have stopped at the original)

Best: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Worst: Bronco Billy (by a lot over the others of his that I have seen which have been almost all great.)

Too many good movies to narrow it down as his best.

I think the worst one I saw was where he was some civil war deserter who wound in staying in a house full of women that started torturing him over jealousy issues but I do not even remember the name of it. Was really weird movie.

The Beguiled.

I had forgot about that one until you brought it. Along with the memories of my vomiting.

Dirty Harry was a great role for Eastwood, but my favorite was The Outlaw Josey Wales. He played the quiet, mysterious, dark, vengeful outlaw so well and that movie is beyond great.

Worst: Probably agree with Hos on Bridges of Madison County.

His Best is Josey Wales for me. Pale Rider a close 2nd.

I haven't seen him in a bad movie, though I'm sure there are some. You don't have a career as large as his without some duds.

Thumbs up on Mystic River.

How about Clint Eastwood?

Best...Josey Wales.

Worst...whatever his sappy name was in that love soap opera "Bridges of Madison County." I won't even watch it.

Josey Wales is one of my all time favorites that and Hang em High are like 1a and 1b for me never watched Bridges of Madison County but he did do a musical Paint Your Wagon (gag)

Singing was not his strongest point, for sure! When Ray Walston is singing better than you, it's time to close up shop.

Too many good ones and the same clunkers as mentioned.

He is a better director than actor IMO.

Ironically his best as director and worst were the same story.

Letters From Iwo Jima was fantastic and Flags of Our Fathers was bad.

Yeah, his directoral efforts are pretty dang good. Of course, it does help to get your big start under Sergio Leone.

Best: Outlaw Josey Wales or Gran Torino.

Worst: Space Cowboys.

Someone has to love Heartbreak Ridge.

I was going to write, Gunnery Sergeant Tom Highway.

The opening scene when he beats up the biker is pure gold.

Or when he is riding Stitch Jones or beats up the Swede.

"you're dead Marine, you just stepped on four boobie traps and blew your legs off, we now have to send out a search party for your testicles.

My favorite line in that movie is...

"Hang on to this boy. I think war's just been declared."
