Really curious to see what kind of year he'll have in that offense
ya, he's only made what most of us make in 10-20 years....definitely needs more to take care of his future and family...because the rest of us wont be able to take care of our families on our pittance.
gimme a break
They all make good money, but he only made around half a mil a year for 4 years 2 mil total, so for 2 mil the cowboys got their moneys worth out of him.
He wanted a big payday, and the eagles offered more than any other team in guaranteed $ 20 mil.
The cowboys last offer was 12 mil G and 24 mil total compared to 40 mil from philly.
Murray would be a idiot to stay with cowboys. 16 mil less to stay with dallas?? lol not one player on the team would do that.
All the top RB's make 8 mil a year or more.
Dez also has turned down the cowboys offer and might be gone if they didnt franchise him.
Also Bradford and Murray were roomates in college and bradford is the one who called murray and then talked to chip, then chip called murray, and later murray returned chip's call.
but OT he does look weird in the eagle outfit but still # 29.
look at it this way if you were the dallas punter at min wage and had a good year, and cowboys offer you 1 mil, and another team even the eagles
offer you 10 mil what would you do??
Murray said it wasn't about the money, he said it was about winning championships and Philly gave him the best shot. Either he's been pining for the Eagles or he didn't have the guts to say he was after money. Either way, good riddance. He's not worth what he's getting paid.
What person would be dumb enough to say it was all about the money !! lol I think no one.
And his statement was more about choosing philly over oakland and jags, and had nothing to do with dallas.
"He's not worth what he's getting paid." he outplayed all the RB's making 8 mil or more a year last year, so yeah he does.

It is proven that lifetime earnings are HIGHER for a superbowl winner....murray was short-sighted and cash hungry...not "I want to win a championship" like he was bluffing us with.
How does that quote have nothing to do with Dallas? Dallas offered him a contract and he turned it down because he thought Philly has a better chance of winning a championship. He's saying Philly is better than all the other teams that offered him a contract, including Dallas. Not sure what makes you think Dallas is not included.
As for him not being worth his contract, the only team that agrees with you is the Eagles. Not sure you want to be in that company.

Losing Murray didn't increase our chances
Maybe not, but bolstering the defense at all 3 levels (especially at our primary weakness, pass rushing) certainly did. I don't think we pick up Hardy if Murray is still on the team, and I take the 26 year old elite RDE with fresh legs all day, suspension and all.
Murray married his girl Heidi this weekend. Didn't hear anything about a pre-nupt.
