Actually, it looks like the Cowboys are doing well in FA

The team was very well prepared going into FA this year.

The only unrestricted FA we had was M Holland.

It seems that we put the appropriate tenders on the key guys whereby we didn't overpay (i.e., Bowen, Hatcher, Spears, etc.), and if they get contracts away, we can match. Worst case, we get a draft pick in one of the deepest drafts in the past decade.

Unlike several teams who were unable to re-sign key FAs and are now forced to overpay for other teams' FA, the Cowboys can look at strategically improving the team. The team isn't forced to run around like chickens with their heads cut off looking to sign overpriced talent.

The Cowboys really have had a good start to FA - by being in the enviable position of not being forced to do anything.

Along with about 30 other teams... You are correct. But they should have used maxium tenders for Procter, Jerry's love chilld can dance!

It was like Mike Lombardi said the other day on which teams he thought has done great in FA? His reply "the ones that have not spend anything yet".

I agree. I would say the teams that have done the best are teams that were in the final eight last year and have not lost any players of note.

The only glaring need that we should address in FA is safety. I'll be happy if we do that. If not, go ahead and draft a safety. But, I think there is still a play that's going to be made by Jerrah and the Boys.
