No one can really claim now that we are a top team. No one can say that we should win it all. The holes are clear and undeniable.
Romo is not god. He is good but he still is inexperienced and he needs to rein in the gunslinger part- the need to try and make plays all the time.
Our O line needs improvement- Rivera has to go.
Our ILB's need a hard look- theymust be able to cover backs and so far they have not shown that ability- we might have to replace one or both.
we must have another real rush threat- and that is NOT Ellis. We are going to have to find another one.
Hatcher and ratlif should get shots at starting at DE. Canty and Spears must be put on notice that more is expected at those positions.
We must have a good NT to back up and eventually replace Fergie.
We need to find out if Jones and Reeves can be expected to step up to starting positions or we must find some more CBs.
We need to find a real FS somewhere- maybe its Watkins but we need to get better back there.
I think we have some young guys on the line and at WR that can step up in a year or so- nothing really needed there at this time.
As regards coaching- we need an AGGRESSIVE DC. An attacking D is what you need in the NFL today.
Philthy learned to balance the pass and run finally and it worked for them- we have gotten pass happy too often and we need to go back to the run more.

Sorry but getting your butt kicked on national TV against a division rival with the NFC East crown and possibly a by week in the playoffs is never a good thing.

The silver lining you are trying to find is a dull grey IMO

Rivera is a piece of trash. Where the hell is Cory Procter?
Bench Spears.....please.
Start Barber....I can care less about this "closer" stupidity. The guys plays with an attitude.....we have very little of this right now.
You made one difficult decision in Romo, it's time for a few more Parcells.

Definitely not a good thing. There will always be holes. We can address the ones we currently have, or at least attempt to do so, but others will surely crop up.

The best teams in the conference - hell the league - have serious shortcomings. Dallas has a high enough level of talent on both sides to make up for some of that. How that talent is deployed is certainly a topic for discussion.

And I don't believe the problem is solely Zimmer. I would go a bit higher on the Cowboy ladder. If MZ wasn't doing exactly what Parcells wanted, I doubt he'd be here. But that's just me.

You know what was an awesome strategy - not running the ball v.s. the worst run D in the NFC...:bang2:

What the OP prolly meant was that this game forces them to look hard at addressing the problem areas of this team...

How is the crowd sitting on their hands and the team not showing up a good thing? The crowd was flat, and the team was flatter. You could hear a pin drop in the stadium most of the game. Enough said.

I'd say that it is never a good thing to lose.....however, let me act like I am a fan of the Skins and the Skins are in our shoes....

Here's what they would say:

1. This is all a plan by BP to set us up for a run in the playoffs.

2. We are looking bad on purpose to hide our strengths until it "really" counts.

3. We didn't want the #2 or the #3 seed....we want to be seeded lower for a better track to the Superbowl in the playoffs.

Feel free to add some more.

The only time I ever recall that Stadium being a factor was the playoff game v.s Favre when he cut his nose going for a TD on a sneak - Great crowd that day that impacted the game.

This for the NFCE title. Nothing good about this loss. I do not care how you want to spin it.

Losing the division title and getting pummeled at home on Christmas day vs division rival is NEVER a good thing.
