I say why not? Can never have enough pass rushers and to have someone give Ware or Spencer a couple breaks. Im not ripping on Butler but we dont have much decent depth at OLB. Hes 32 and he might be just playing to win and not for $$, if thats the case why not?

Why would he come here to play as a backup for less money?

he was terrible there, massive free agent bust...not interested

I expect him to sign with the skins shortly

I'm wondering if he doesn't go running back to Baltimore.

Or maybe reuniting with Rex Ryan and the Jets (if the new rules allow)?

I mean I dont know much about Thomas just that hes pretty athletic for a big OLB. Just thought it would be interesting if Dallas thought he could fit into a rotation.

not entirely.

He was good there his first year when they were still playing there 34. Now that they have switched and went younger, smaller and faster last year...

he predictably looked older bigger and slower!

That sounds like something he would do, but I think the Jets already signed a boat load of players and considering they were in the AFC championship game, I'm not sure that would be possible. AdamJT would probably know.

I don't see why the Jets won't pick him. Rex knows him. He's a better option than Taylor IMO, and they're moving that bust Gholston to end in a 3-4. Yuck!

Hell no, we have enough young OLB/outside pass rushers and he is and has been a malcontent ever since get got to NEw England

We can NEVER have enough pass rushers! ;)

that's corner, he's old and just stops the progression of the outside olb/pass rushers we drafted last year....he's old, a complainer, often injured...PASS!!

Our concentration should be on tackles/ guards, that's where we need help

Yeah I guess it would be a bad thing to have too many good pass rushers.

Thomas has 31 tackle and three sacks last year, and in three years in New England, had 14.5 sacks, is that a really good pass rusher??

I wouldn't be so sure that he goes running back to Baltimore. I live in the Baltimore area and have heard talk that him and Ray don't quite see eye to eye. I think the Jets are probably a more likely destination.

IF, IF!!!!, we were to sign a veteran OLB, I would prefer we go with a humbled Greg Ellis.
