No....I would have rathered taken the money we gave Davis and gave it to Thomas....then used our first and 2nd round pick on a guard and a WR.........but of course I hope this works the way we did it. I will say this...there should never be a time when we need to pick up a yard on 4th down that we cannot go right behind Davis....that better be automatic

What makes you think we passed up Thomas? Ever consider that he might not fit our scheme or more importantly, didn't want to play in Dallas?

I would always - ALWAYS - rather draft a player than sign one as a FA. Free agents are for plugging holes that you can't manage to fill via the draft. Thomas is not going to be playing at a high level for that much longer, whereas Spencer will be playing and peaking in the future, and hopefully for a long time.

There is slightly more uncertainty via the draft, but less risk. It's the only way to go. Fortunately, the Commanders aren't going to figure that out any time soon.

You're joking right... Spencer is more athletic than Woodley, we already had this discussion about Michigan players and the NFL...;)

You and me both. Draft (and UDFA) to get the bulk of your roster. Use free agency to fill in the gaps.
