Raiders re-signed RB Justin Fargas. NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the deal is for three years and $12 million, including $6 million guaranteed.

Fargas, 28, gained 1009 yards on 222 carries (4.5 YPC) and scored four TDs in 2007. He's not a threat in the passing game and often runs too hard for his own good, but fits Oakland's zone system. Fargas now enters 2008 as the heavy favorite to start over Michael Bush. The best Bush could hope for is a carry split, which he'd have to earn with a big training camp and preseason.

They may pass on Mcfadden if he falls to them.

OMG, OMG. THE RAIDERS DON'T NEED A RB.....THEY WILL NOW TRADE FOR MORE PICKS.....OMG, ****.

Just thought I would give this thread a push in its eventual direction.

I think the Jets would take him if he drops. Thomas Jones isnt the answer there.

Did everyone jump off the Michael Bush bandwagon? Last draft there were a lot of love for that guy.

Jones went 310-1119-1. That isn't horrible especially on a 4-12 team.

Doubt it. Fargas would be a nice back up.

That seems kind of pricey for a back up. At least for a back up that really hasn't proven too much in the NFL. He has only one good season in five years and 2025 career rushing yards. He has 6 career TDs with 4 coming this past season. Julius Jones has been better than that.

Coming off a bad injury.
Michael Bush was already injured when he was in the draft and there was tons of people wanting to draft the guy before the fourth round where the Raiders took him.
