Check out this kid at . At 6-7, 280, Shaheen is a man among boys, no matter where he plays. He's very athletic & fast for a man his considerable size. I don't know how well he blocks, but that can be taught. The only problem is that he probably would have to be taken at the 60 spot to get him, & God knows we have a ton of positions on defense to fill this year. I think Swaim will become a very good TE, both receiving & blocking. The brain trust just has to ask themselves if this kid is worth missing out on a quality rush man or DB in order to get him. Check him out & let me know what you think.

he looks good but everyone looks good on those high light films

I'd rather wait until the 3rd round or later

George Kittle, TE
Eric Saubert, TE
Jeremy Sprinkle, TE

Day 3 pick, sure.

Think he'll fall due to competition level and well the TE class is good this year IMO

It will be interesting to see if we even draft a TE or they think the young TEs we have are better than say our 4th round and what is left in this draft.

Pretty certain TE will be one of the few offensive positions addressed at some point.

Witten's short shelf life, the on-going concerns with Hanna's health and now Swaim's foot have escalated the need.

Unless it is Howard or Njoku I really don't want a TE in the 1st 3 rounds. Not because it's not a need but because I like some of the guys that should be available in the 4th or later...Kittle, Roberts, Saubert, Sprinkle

The defection of the secondary and the need to replenish it makes selecting a TE in the first four rounds too much of a luxury. Besides, this is a deep TE draft, probably the deepest in a while. It sucks that we don't have a fifth round draft pick, but maybe we maneuver down somewhere in the first three rounds, acquire a fifth round pick or maybe even a higher pick and take a TE. I think we can get a good one even in the fifth round. Remember, Witten went in the third round in a draft that wasn't as deep at the TE position as this draft appears to be.

Most teams will go defense especially the 1st three rounds, small college kid should be available late 3rd, early 4th maybe even late 4th if we are lucky. Believe since he is one of our 30 visits then he is definitely on the radar but what round they envision him in is another matter.
