AdamJT13 can this team afford to make changes if it wants to?

I mean, how is our cap situation for the next couple of years. If this team had to accept some hard facts (this is an "if" not an "I'm saying") and has to cut ties with a few players to change up the chemistry, leadership, turnovers, discipline, focus, etc

CAN WE AFFORD TO DO IT CAP-WISE without just signing practice squadders to replace them.

For example, if we had to drop a TO, a Bobby Carpenter, a PacMan, a Tank Johnson, a Flozell Adams, a Roy Williams (D), or god forbid we really blew it on Roy Williams (O). Can we even afford to do it cap-wise.

I guess the first question is "Do we make big personell changes". The next question is are we hamstrung from making significant ones. Retrospectively now, I had having given up a 1st and 3rd round pick (not commenting on trade), I just hate not being able to bring in some more young talent that could replace some dead-weight!

Agreed. You won't see wholesale changes at critical positions. Romo isn't leaving. TO isn't leaving. You will, hopefully, see Pac Man depart, but he hasn't been of any use whatsoever. You will see a few moves made, but where it counts, this team will be back in substantially the same fashion as this year.

And that's frankly fine, because this team has players.

Fair enough. So if major changes aren't made, does that mean that the problem is the coaches, because if it's the players, then the success level will NOT change. We had a great draft, and that didn't improve this team. We added Roy Williams and Pac Man and Zach Thomas and those didn't help the end results.

Not sure what the answer is, but I'd feel better if we could at least afford to shake up the roster if analysis by coaches/owner/scouts, etc reveals that the talent isn't actually as good as thought. Problem is, I'm worried this team is very close to a salary cap ceiling and still hasn't signed Ware (which is a gimme decision as he isn't the problem).
