Something about this kid, I always felt he was as talented as any WR I've ever seen come out of college a couple of years ago. He was the big time reciever at OK state if you don't remember. He went undrafted because he has a ten-cent head on his shoulders though.

I just looked at his numbers in the CFL. He had 55 receptions for 925 yards and 6 TD's in 15 games.

I can't help but wonder if he's matured. A couple of years in the CFL can certainly do that for you. I don't believe he's been in any trouble since college, and I'd love to take a chance on him.

Anyone remember him?

No, but I'll take Aldarius Johnson when he comes out of The U next year.

IIRC he turned out to be very slow, whether that was because of injury or whatever else. We've seen forever that big strong WRs who are slow as molasses just don't make it much in the NFL.

FWIW, putting up 900 yards receiving in the CFL isn't really that big of a deal, especially for a slotback (Bowman's likely position). I think the single season passing record is close to 7000 yards and the single season receiving record is over 2000 yards.

I met this young man when he first went to UNC, I'm still close to the program and by the way you heard it ,first there is some talent coming out of my alma mater the next few years. He was part of a good recruiting class coming in and smoke his way out of town. I hope he has his live together

Well, except for Michael Irvin, Chris Carter, Herman Moore, Larry Fitzgerald etc. ;) I think talent wise he had a chance to be pretty good, but the off field stuff scared teams away.

....all of whom had/have enough speed to get open down the field.

Adarius was up here in Winnipeg last season, and I think he's coming back this year. He was pretty good for us, and showed signs of getting things together, but certainly not worthy of the NFL yet.

And I don't think anybody's ever thrown for 7,000yards in a season in the CFL, but the league leader is usually 5,000+.

Herman Moore and Barry Sanders prove if you don't have a QB and a Heead Coach you can't win big in the NFL!

Doug Flutie holds the record at 6619 yards so he was a little bit shy of the 7000 yard mark.

Figured it was Flutie and figured it was north of 6000. The single game mark is held by Dunigan I think - pretty sure that was >700 yards.
