Ok this is just a thread for a little off season fun now if you could add any player in the NFL to the cowboys roaster who would it be and why?

joe thomas. lt would not be a problem whatsoever for us and he would be an anchor on the line for years to come.

i'm not saying that free won't pan out, but he is a risk.

Ryan Clady:
In 2 years, he will be the best LT in the game, and younger than JT and MO.

Darelle Revis. Jets have the best secondary in the NFL and he is a huge reason why.

I would take Aaron Rodgers and I would run a 2 QB offense

Surprising because the other 4 times this thread was made you and I both went with Patrick Willis.

Revis' year was epic though, he erased everyone - it was the first time I've seen a player do that since Deion in his prime. And he doesn't mind getting physical.

Asomugha actually had a better year when you breakdown the numbers, remove the Miles Austin game and he only allowed 101 yards and 0 tds. :D

Ahh you got me there Hos. I was going to go with whoever is the best kicker is right now.

But Revis on the Cowboys would be sick! You know that would allow us to throw Scandrick into the mix at FS.

Come to think of it, he is in a bit of a contract dispute..........git on the phone Jerry!

Can you imagine what it would take to pry him away from the Jets?

Demarcus Ware...

:D

Outside him I'd say Revis as others have. Revis and Jenkins for the next 5 years? WOW. Teams would have to play us using the wishbone, lol.

Is there a reason people ignore Asomugha, when he had a better season than Revis? Only one WR beat Asomugha, Miles. Miles had 145 yards and 1 TD against Nnamdi, in the other 15 games of the season he allowed 101 yards and 0 tds.

Nnamdi > Revis.

I nearly said him, and still think that is an outstanding choice. Hard to deny how great Revis is though. You'd have to heave your head up a dark, smelly place not to realize he is the best CB in the NFL and the drop to #2 is wide.

Given our current "needs" I'd still add Ed Reed. Our defense with a playmaking safety....

Reed considering retirement, i'd go Jairus Byrd.

Joe Thomas, LT, Cleveland. We need offensive linemen. Plus, you gotta love a guy who goes fishing instead of sitting around watching himself get drafted.

Nnamdi > Revis.

Two reasons just off the top of my head:

One, he's a Raider. And that entire franchise is a black hole and soils everything.
Two, his contact is insane. That contract almost renders his talent moot.

Revis is a great choice, but to offer a different option, give me Ravens OT Michael Oher.

I think he's going to be among the league's best for years to come.

True reasons, but he is still the better CB by the numbers.

Additionally, It's because no one throws at him. He faced less than two attempts per game. Revis faced something like four times as many because the scheme of the Jets' defense is set up to force offenses to attack their star corner, rather than just letting his presence shut things down.
