It was from SportsCenter yesterday, Eric Allen was giving his thoughts on the NFC East. Towards the end he mentioned that if the Cowboys do this or that they can get back to winning championships. McKendry then made a disgusting groan sound then said "oops did I say that out loud".

Journalists are supposed to have integrity in reporting and be unbiased. McKendry is a joke.

Newsflash; her bio says:

Born in Philadelphia, McKendry graduated from Drexel University in 1990. A dean's list scholar for three years, McKendry attended Drexel on a tennis scholarship.

Prior to joining ESPN, McKendry had been at WJLA-TV, ABC affiliate in Washington D.C, where she was a sports reporter.

Is she the drunk or am I thinking of someone else?

Most journalists nowadays lack both integrity or unbiased opinions.

Print journalists are focused on promoting agendas, while media journalists are focused on having 'personalities' and entertaining.

they all are there. Its nothing new. Ever hear that old hag linda kohn when she really lets her feelings be known?

The station is filled with northeast born and bread cowboys hating people.

Settle down dude. Journalists can still have personal opinions and make little jokes on air.

Seriously, settle down about this.

That is because it is literally the only way to survive in the industry and make any real money.

Its cool, just adding her to the list

I don't watch a lot of sportscenter anymore, and when I do, I expect the hatred. So it doesn't bother me so much. Actually, since they do show their bias, it is because they are jealous.

It gets under their skin and they can't stand it. Isn't it great?

On week 20 of no ESPN watching (except the draft when it was on mute) and it is GREAT! Some of you should try it instead of letting them get you all rilled up.

I almost never watch it. I even gave up on the nfl network for the most part.

The mlb network is great though.

I haven't watched SportsCenter in probably over 2 years. McKendry, if I remember correctly, is in a typical anchor position.

NO, she is NOT supposed to interject bias and make jokes at a team's expense.

But, what do you expect? It's ESPN. Just a bunch of puppets and ho's over there.

And I don't even have a problem with bias and opinions, but I want reporters and analysts to look at things as objectively as they can, get both sides of the story, and be accurate with the information being brought forth. And stop guessing and treating it like it's a fact. It's not and it's HORRIBLE journalism and quite frankly, they should be ashamed for doing it. But, most of these sports media people have no shame.

The more and more we point out this nonsense and quite frankly, unethical journalism, the sooner they stop doing it. Or at least they are exposed as frauds and in reality ho's, because they are willing to act and look like a fraud for money.

The only thing I watched on ESPN was the NCAA Lacrosse Final 4 because they are the only Network to carry the games. Now the for the draft the NFL network did a better job and was more profesional in their opinions and presentation. Mike Maylock did a good job of the draft

To be fair though, you will never get unbiased anchors, reporters etc...

You are asking for them to be robots. What made espn so popular was the bermans, olbermans, patricks, stuarts etc.. of the world injecting life into the broadcast.

Me personally, I just hate the build em up with false information and then tear them down based on their own build up and false perception. So I ignore them.

I think it is pretty crappy that people like berman, linda kohn, scott whatever his name is love to do the highlights when we lose or romo makes a mistake so they can throw their nonsense around but when we win they all sulk and point out the butts.

I like guys like Todd Archer that just tell me whats going on and tell me the reason, I dont need the other stuff from most people. I understand what espn is and what it needs to do to operate in the environment that now exists.

I do resent ESPN for insisting that all sports be covered like the nba and built around stars, because that is an nba thing. It has caused other sports problems and it has caused the way people view the other sports to change. Then they have the audacity to turn around and attack people like ocho uno, T.O., randy moss, lebron etc.....They helped more than anyone create the monster. Watching them then in turn villainize individuals for acting the way they actually portray the sports to get viewers is comical to me.

And in a nutshell that is what they do with the cowboys. Build em up for the sake of it in the offseason and then in the season tear em down for constantly being talked about. Its stupid, but its the nba and espn way.

I wont even get into all the x players just cashing checks there. 99% of the former player that work there are a complete insult to most fans. Its frustrating to watch because of how large the audience is and how much different it actually could be.

but again, they were the main players in creating this environment and it wont change. When dan snyder bought scott shapiro away from espn and put him atop one of his companies espn went down this path even further.

Well if you have been watching NFL coverage on ESPN with Trey, Eric Allen, and Chris Carter.

Chris predicted Romo might be MVP
Eric Allen with these comments
and of course Trey Wingo... Our own die hard Cowboy fan

So not bad at all...

Do these guys want a talking robot?

How boring was the sports news world 25 years ago. Why would anyone want to go back to that style.

Save that for the National Nightly News shows.

And McKendry loves it now that you are talking about her.

And so does ESPN.

When is everyone going to learn that you as fans don't define what ESPN is and what they should be. Fans always have the option to turn the channel.

1. Why would you rip on Jamie Dukes then? The fans don't define NFLN by your logic, so why rip on Dukes.

2. Yes, the fans DO define ESPN. Or at least they CAN define ESPN. They live off of ratings and Web site clicks. Don't tune in, they tend to figure out why, and they change things...or somebody gets fired. Their ratings are down, but the issue for people like myself that see ESPN for what they are, a bunch of frauds, is that they really have no competition as far as sports news goes. So I just ignore them all together. But, if somebody else were to take a serious stab as a sports news channel and provide me with stuff that ESPN doesn't, I would watch. I think others would as well. THEN, we'll see the fans defining ESPN. But for me, and apparently others on this forum, we don't watch ESPN unless there's a game on.

3. McKendry is an ANCHOR and typically the anchors just report the news and have some interplay with the 'analysts' or the 'experts.' But usually that interplay consists of asking questions and more or less going over the points that the expert/analyst wants to make. So yes, she should be a robot. Let Eric Allen or whomever make the judgements because that's what he's paid to do and she's not paid to do.

She can love it all she wants that people talk about her, it still won't draw ratings and she'll continue to look like a corporate stooge.

^THIS^
I may look at ESPNews every once and awhile to catch up on my sports news but other than I dont watch...

they are not journalists--they are sometimes objective but usually just TV personalities going for ratings

Because Jamie Dukes spouts off incorrect information without actually watching game tape, while McKendry just threw in a little jab about the fact she doesn't like the Cowboys? Apples to Oranges.

How are some of you guys not used to being ripped on? Know why they do it on air? Because it creates buzz--just look at this thread for evidence.
