Add Jeremy Langford to the RB mix as he runs a 4.42 today....

Liked Langford quite a bit prior to the combine...because as you mentioned, his body of work on the field was impressive. Pass protection is seemingly another plus with him, which is big.

I don't get too caught up in the 40 overall. Maybe a bit with WR's (especially the smaller ones that are supposed to be noted for it). Murray ran a great time at the combine...but isn't a burner. Gordon & Abdullah ran in the 4.5's...but both clearly play faster & have explosive elements to their game.

Garrett & Romo are two guys that really want to see Murray re-signed. Be interesting to see what happens. I've seen Langford in the 3-4 round range prior to his position best 40 time.

He plays slower than his 40 time. Murray looks faster coming out of college. Doesn't look like he has that gear to burst through the hole. Can't argue with his college production.

Couldn't disagree more. Look closely at his tape. No way he plays slower than his 40 time. He's a patient runner who has great burst when necessary. Saw every one of his games during his college career. He was a DB and they switched him to RB a few years ago. He doesn't have alot of wear and tear on him. No major injuries to speak of and he doesn't put the ball on the ground. If we can get DeMarco re-signed I'd draft this kid late in the 4th and let him battle it out with Ryan WIlliams to see who backs up DM. Jerry has already said they need real alternatives at RB behind Murray next season. (assuming they can re-sign him) WIlliams and Langford are more than qualified.

(Randle and Dunbar should be CUT)

Langford reminds me a lot of Murray actually.

You're not the only one. ESPN and others think similarly:

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-combi...rd-vs-DeMarco-Murray-in-40-yard-dash-simulcam

Their stats are virtually IDENTICAL at this point of their development. Height is identical, Murray is 5 lbs heavier and Langford is slightly faster. This guy would be great value in the 4th round. He made himself some money today IMO. He won't last past 4th now where as before the draft he was thought to be a 5th rounder.

I could live with that....absolutely. We both know deep down that it's a long shot to sign Murray. Johnson would be my second choice in round four behind Langford. I'd love to get either one frankly. I will say that I don't see how AP comes to Dallas realistically. Just too much money IMO.

We COULD go Ingram as a FA, WIlliams and then either Johnson or Langford. That would work nicely too.
