Admit it . . . . Most of thought we were an 8-8

or 9-7 team before the regular season began, and we're right on pace to achieve that record.

Look, let's be realistic, this is our first year running the 3-4, and we don't have the LBs in place yet. Next year we will. In spite of that, we're already a top 10 defense. And once we add a true FS, we'll be a superb defense.

On offense, we've got a rookie RT, and a Pro-Bowl LT on IR. Again, next year Petitti will be that much better, and Flo will be back. Say what you want, but Flo is an above-average LT.

Until we get some experience and cohesion on the OL, neither the running game and passing game is going to click on a consistent basis.

Finally, let's please remember that our FG kicker has probably cost us between 2-3 games this season. We all had concerns about this position going into the season. This is something we've got to fix.

We all knew we couldn't fix this thing in one year. But we're headed in the right direction.

Is what I thought at the beginning of the season supposed to make me feel better now?

Every loss hurts, I'm just trying to put it in perspective.

...predictions at the start of the year had to be exactly where we were playing to, but unfortunately it seems like it's going to turn out that way.

We definitely need to address the O-line and the LBs. We will also have to look at crucial depth if we want to become a stronger team in the future.

It's like starting the day broke, winning the lotto and then having someone take all but $3 bucks away.

Yeah your up $3 until you subtract the $2 you spend on the ticket and then you realize it was just another messed up day in a messed up life.

I just think a QB like Bledsoe esp. needs a running game to set up the pass. He's not a franchise QB. Our running game has been suspect for several weeks now. IMO, a lot of the problems on offense are directly related to the OL. Inexperience, injuries, etc.

I agree, we have played way above most of our pre season predictions. We are woefully inept along the o-line with the loss of Flo. I really hope we are able to shore this up through the draft and free agency.

Assuming Flo makes it back healthy, our depth on the OL isn't all that bad. Petitti just needs a full off-season. But who knows, maybe we end up drafting an OL in the 1st, though I don't think that's BP's tendency.

In August I really, truly thought we had an 8-8, 9-7 season at best. The winner at SD, and the 3-game winning streak made me think for a few fleeting weeks that this Cowboys team might, and I stress might, be a playoff contender. I read the posts here from the misguided few who have b een alluding to super bowl possibilities for Dallas, and honestly, cant for the life of me fathom what team theyve been watching this year, certainly not the one in Dallas Ive been watching. Im very disappointed with todays effort. Forget excuses.

What up good people I have been a true die heart Cowboys for over 20 years and this is my first time responding to a thread but I must say this year has dealt us as fans a serious smoke screen truthfully, BP is, sorry was a very good coach at one time but he needs to change with the times. I have seen some very poor play overall by the whole team early on the deep ball killed us now take your pick play calling, o-line, lb's, even sometimes our d-line. Don't get me wrong we do have some good things but I don't think we are strong enough to make a true playoff run. Here in Chicago my buddies talk about the bears but they don't even have a QB or and offense and their "D" control the game each week. Here few more things to think about the Commanders game, seahawks, and denver are we really ready for the next level ?
