I stumbled across good read it's an older Article about Adrian Hamilton from Mocking the draft and don't recall seeing it posted here so I thought I'd share it. I'll paste a couple of the highlights but the full article is worth a read.

Full Article

Athleticism/Strength: Adrian has very good balance and stays low when rushing the passer. He can beat the offensive linemen because of his upper body strength. He has some quickness off the edge, but isn't a speedster. Adrian stands at 6'3 and weighs in at 255 which are great height and size for a DE/OLB. He looks like a gym rat, is in very good shape and his body is chiseled. He changes direction well; he can stop on a dime to make an adjustment on run plays as well as getting to the quarterback. He is strong as an ox coming off the snap and uses his hands extremely well when getting off blockers. He’s a menacing terror on the outside with good, natural instincts as a pass-rusher and adequate in run support.

Biggest knock: Adrian had a very unorthodox style of running. He looked like he had never been trained on running before. When he was at the Casino Del Sol Bowl that looked like it had changed. His first forty that he ran was a 4.95 but he has since ran in the 4.72 range. He told me he is trying to get into the 4.60 range, which would be a huge for the SWAC All-Time leading sack record holder

Technique/Intangibles: Adrian can set the edge extremely well. He has so much power on a bull rush, that 320 pound offensive tackles have problems with his upper body strength. His spin move is something textbook, he is so quick on the spin that the linemen cannot get their hands on him to slow him down. His rip move is so pretty because he sets up the linemen with a hard jab step to the outside before swinging his long arm under the linemen’s inside pads. He has been used inside on certain run plays because he can hold his own on double teams and uses his moves to get past numerous defenders. He has done this from the standing position, with his hand in the dirt and on all sides and alignments on the line......

What people tend to realize is that Adrian Hamilton signed his letter of intent to play for Oklahoma State. After they asked him to grey shirt, he ended up walking on and playing for Texas Tech. You don’t just walk on to a Division one program that features Michael Crabtree and Graham Harrell by not being good. Adrian couldn’t afford the school anymore and had to leave because.....

That really sounds encouraging.

I'm excited to watch him during TC and pre-season.

reminds me a lot of terrell suggs when it comes to build, athleticism, and play making ability. suggs is fast but explosive off the line with good technique and power.

I haven't seen him play at all yet but this write up was comparing him to John Abraham specifically referring to their similiar athetic builds, high motors and relentlessness.

Hamilton gets more curiouser and curiouser....HMMMMMM, cant find much negative about the guy regarding his play and yet he goes undrafted.....not sure how the 'Boys knew he would go undrafted. He showed all his moves in his highlight tape and it blew me away.

maybe Jerry & the boys found themselves a gem.

In his YouTube video he sits an OT on his *** in amazing fashion.

1:10. He blows that guy up.

And his spinmove does look very good against the guys he's playing.

I'm actually excited to see what he looks like come preseason.

He looks really explosive and quick with his first step. He's going to be very interesting to watch. I bet Tyron Smith or Doug Free doesn't let him manhandle them like that :laugh2:

Stumbled across a an interview with him that he gave in January as well. Here's a couple of the more interesting excerpts, if you want to read the full interview you can find it here

After putting on a major showing for NFL scouts at the HBCU Bowl, he was invited to the 2012 Casino Del Sol Bowl in Arizona. On his first day of practice, he opened some eyes with another amazing performance. He finished the day with 4 sacks and a ton of tackles in the backfield. Today he came back out there and did it again, getting in the backfield and sacking the QB again.

Some NFL Scouts said that you are a physical specimen, who looks the part of a NFL DE/OLB, what do you do to keep in shape?
I run a lot, I am always running miles to stay in the best shape I can. I want to keep up my endurance up on and off the field.

Who is your favorite football player to watch on film and why?
My favorite football player to watch on film is Lawrence Taylor, who redefined edge rushing in the game. I have learned many moves from watching film on him.

I have been watching film on you all year as a scout, and I see your moves are something special, What is your favorite move to use and Why?
A stab move, is my favorite because it is a mix between power and speed, and you are able to do so much out of it. It is a great set up move, and if you can get your hands on the guy in front of you, there are many options.

After blowing countless draft picks over the last 15 years on supposed pass-rushers, I'd make Sarge switch over to chocolate milk if we somehow found an 8-sack-year-guy as an undrafted free agent.

I rooting hard for this kid.....sounds too good to be true....

I cannot wait to see him in preseason. How does a guy like this not get drafted?

Here's some real time game footage on the kid if you guys wanna judge not based on highlights but on what he does in the games.

There's no pointer but he's number 45 and played left DE with his hands on the ground on virtually all of the plays.

He is almost more impressive on a regular game film than he is on the highlight reel.

What I mean by that is he plays under control within the team concept out there. He isn't a guy who pins his ears back on every play - on run downs he is setting the edge and holding contain. Most of the time he stays in his pass rush lane. But he attacks the opposition OL in a whole bunch of different ways - speed, bullrush, rips, swims, inside counters, spins. The other thing is nothing looks premeditated - he seems to do it just by feel - knowing what is going to work in which situation.

His full speed rush to turn the crown is unbelievable when he really pins his ears back.

The other team tries to double team him a lot but he even beats those double teams a lot.

I'm not sure what kind of an LB he will be as he mostly played DE and I can't comment much on his long foot speed here. He allegedly ran a 4.8 40 but he may play faster than that because of his hips. The film I've seen suggests Wilber is probably a tick faster than him.

This, add dipping the shoulder without losing speed.

This is good example learn from LT on film and DW in person.

There was an article on this, the comment was that Hamilton did not not know how to run the 40. He had a strange gait and takeoff but he changed it somewhat at his last pro day. The first official time (Jr. pro day) he clocked a 4.95.

And even if he doesn't have that long speed (see Terrell Suggs), even a blind man can see his explosion and technique. This kid is special.

Hmmmm, maybe we found our poor mans version of Bruce Irvin? He looks stout on film but judging by how slow the first step of those tackles I'm not buying it just yet. I think once this kid gets in camp & gets coached up a little he can be a horse, might have to put him on PS for a year first.

This guy is going to be who I'm rooting for but I won't hold my breath. He's got potential it seems. Maybe an offseason with the strength coach helps him make the team.

ok I'm on board he needs to be starting in place of Spencer... Could you imagine him on one side and ware on the other good night QB's would never sleep.
