Mods, if it is not too much too ask, can you please leave this thread on the main forum for a little bit..thanks

I am sitting here wondering if just MAYBE, the Colts tanked yesterdays game vs the Jets to keep certain teams OUT of the playoffs. At the moment the Ravens and Jets own their own destiny, if they both win, they are both in. My question is, if the Colts beat the Jets yesterday, then what would this weeks scenarios be? I am thinking, and it is just a guess, this was a move by the colts to help keep the steelers out..I know they completely screwed the Broncos, so maybe the move was made for them as well...

Extremely unlikely. The Colts have the no. 1 seed and a bye. Why would they care about such details when so much has to happen for specific teams to make it/no make it.

They would have benched their starters from the beginning if they cared that much.

I figured it out...

A steelers win and a Houston loss or a ravens loss would have put the steelers in the playoffs..

The fix is in, I definitely believe it....wow...

This is just plain stupid. The colts already their the #1 seed locked up. If they wanted to try to lose they would've benched all their starters. The Jets just played well and won the game, and had some lucky breaks with a defensive TD and a kick return for a TD.

Not to mention the Jets are playing for their playoff lives and the Colts had nothing to play for other than being the 2nd team to go 16-0.

It does make sense, and if I were a coach, I would certainly play it the same way to keep my players healthy, and to keep some teams I don't want to face out of the playoffs.

The #1 seed has this luxury.

of course it makes sense, anyone who says otherwise is being completely naive...why make your road more difficult than it needs to be..

I think that may actually be a Houston and a Ravens loss or a Houston and Jets loss.

You think the Colts lost on purpose to help the 8-7 (loser of their last 4 out of 6 games) Steelers out of the playoffs????

Where do people come up with this stuff????

IF the jets lost yesterday, they would not need the jets to lose next week
