Sam Hurd: He Was invisible yesterday and it showed how much we miss Glenn and his speed. The Pats focused more on Witten and Owens and dared us to go elsewhere. Crayton was bad in the 1st 1 1/2 quarters, then he started making plays.
Nate Jones: He was Awful with a capital A. Watch the game again and you can see he was the main DB the Pats attacked. Revves had a good 1st half, then struggled some later, but it seemed on the long TD he went for the strip rather than the tackle. he also gave up the TD to Moss that was called back, but it was ruled interference on Moss. Reeves had single coverage with no help, so I can't blame me there. Come next year, we have to add 1 or 2 talented players to the roster at CB and bump Jones off this roster.
Offense: Him, they were inconsistent all day, and struggled to stay on the field. Penalties were the main down fall, but the offense looked a little lost with Witten being taken away for most of the game. Failing to score a TD on the huge return by Thompson was a killer as well. You have to come away with 7 there.
Penalties: The killer penalties were the 4th and 1 holding call, the illegal shift when Owens had the ball on the Pats 35 or so, and the PI called on Watkins, which appeared to be total BS when they showed the replay. The 4th down holding penalty seemed to be a pointless hold by Kosier as well, because it appeared that Barber had the 1st down already. They also should have ruled a force out on the catch by TO, but we scored a TD anyhow so it didn't really matter, other than the fact that for 2 weeks straight he was screwed by the call on the force out.
Ware: Rock solid as usual, plus Ellis made another awesome play. We need to quit dropping Ellis into coverage, and someone else on this defense needs to step up and help these guys out. Spencer will come around, but he didn't do much of anything yesterday.
