After reading the candid threads on TO's camp, what is your opinion of TO?

Just wondering what people think....

Business as usual? TO was busy in practice and had an excuse?

Did you think TO would be more of a good guy with a kid's camp?

I read some of those stories and I'm a little sickened by TO. I never thought he was an angel, but I thought he'd give a little more to the community.

Somehow, I just can't see someone like Troy Aikman, Tom Landry or Emmitt Smith walking into camp with that same attitude.

Props to the players who were there all day and really took the kids under their wings.

Playing devil's advocate, in TO's defense, there are a lot of disinterested players like him in the NFL who do this type of stuff because it's forced, TO is just a bigger target. I'm sure he's not the first guy to show up for the last hour after some of the other kids had already left, make some required comments, and then take off.

The TO apologists are prepared to swarm, look out.

If TO wanted to have a football camp, then he could have scheduled it for a time when he could actually show up on time and teach the kids something rather than relying on studs like Zuriel Smith(who must be desperate for a paycheck) to do his dirty work.

They should just take him out behind the woodshed and pop a cap in his head...that would make ash happy...!

Who cares!! As long as the kids learned something about, uh, FOOTBALL!

I think of him the same as before. I think he is a great WR who can be a major pain in the butt to deal with and can cause problems in the locker room. I think it is great that he is having a camp for kids and do not think TO is an evil person but he has shown the ability to cause a lot of problems for a team and it's staff. I hope that will not be the case in Dallas but I'm not willing to bet the house that he has changed.

If he had skipped practice to attend this camp, I would have been pissed.

That said, I am sorry he was double booked.

Sounds like the kids still got a lot out of the camp, and for the ones that were ga-ga to meet him, they did.

I trully thought that was how he would be....
Some small part of me was hopping he was a better person but at least we know he can play some football.
I will be routing for him every Sunday but I will not ever have any T.O. junk and I do not care to ever come in contact with him..

T.O. is who he is. I've seen enough of him to have formed a not so good opinion of him as a team player. Nothing that he does in Dallas will really change my opinion because his pattern has been too consistent. Obviously anyone can change if they want to......but you have recognize the need in order to make that change.

I truly hope that he can break the pattern and become a better team player. I'll be cheering as hard as anyone for him.

my opinion hasn't changed.

granted i always thought TO was an arrogant jerk who didn't care about anyone else except himself and his ego and who was just doing this camp as a publicity stunt to try to better his name.

but you know, at least his camp didn't make me think worse of him.

He's the same Terrell Owens a good guy.

You need to put the other option on there... These aren't good options. Im not actually one of the ones who thought Terrell Owens was a bad guy.

was he supposed to be at the camps all day ? i wonder how it was advertised to the kids and families.

First, i know that many celebs do all kinds of charity work and community work and so forth and i often wonder how much any of them care, they are benefiting in some way too, whether its publicity or tax write off or whatever.

Time is money, and for people who have money that donate a lot of time without making a lot of noise about it, i think they are really in it because it makes them happy to do such things, but even then, one could say they are getting something out of it themself, whether it be the desire for social fulfillment and comunity or possibly the need to be needed. so volunteer programs and community outreach doesnt wow me at all, i dont try to think someone is altruistic because they do it, and i dont expect to find that they are selfless either. in reality if you break things down there are no selfless acts, even the most seemingly selfless acts are done because the person like4s to do things for others, or wants to be a savior, or needs to be needed or has a guilt complex.

i tend to go out of my way more than the average person to make others happy, some call it the diseaes to please, LOL...but it does give me some benefit, some emotional saitisfaction. plus i have realized the law of karma and i know that everything i put in, or put out there does come back in some fashion or another.

as far as my oppinion of TO, he's just another person, he's a football player. dont like or dislike him. unless i deal with someone on a daily basis i dont really get into devloping a whole lot of feelings either way toward them.

I pretty much agree with this....even if you are trying to be sarcastic.

Yawn.

I will be happy if T.O. shuts up, plays well, and we win.

He'll play well, hes always played Outstanding. The question will be Will we win? T.O aint all of Dallas. the ''shuttin up part'' really isnt an issue for me, if we're winning also. But, i can see throughout the season tons of threads on almos EVERY SINGLE QUOTE T.O WILL SAY.

I'm another guy who never thought TO was a bad guy. I'm not afraid to say that I like the guy. He'll help our team win.

this really did nothing for me, but the fact that this was TO's 1st football camp, that means something to me, albeit a little

uh, this was probably the best time TO could do, before he hits the meat of the offseason

can't it be possible that TO is just trying to fit in? and doing a camp for kids is just one of those ways, along with kissing Parcells' arse ;)
