After wr and ot signings, the top needs now - G, LB/MLB and 1Tech (fs hopefully met with a fa)
At 19, likely available starters would be Hernandez, Vea, Payne, Vander Esch with RSmith not likely there
Who could likely be dominant?
G - Hernandez - good chance
1Tech - Vea or Payne - good chance and both could be there

LB - Vander Esch - possibly

Here are 2 nice scenarios - though not sure who was invited for visit?

1. Hernandez G - most likely pick imo
2. Settle 1tech
3. Jewell MLB
4 and later - take another LB or 2, RB

or

1. Payne 1tech
2. Price G
3. Jewell MLB
4 and later - LB, G, RB,

I want a 1 tech and a guard in the first two rounds so I would take either of those and I like Jewell in the third.

I've resigned myself to believing they will not be taking a 1T before the 3rd.
They've spent so much capitol on the OL, I'm thinking the 1st round pick will be a LB (LVE) unless James slips and they move up to grab him.
OL in the 2nd? Not sure they will even pick one at #50 unless Billy Price slips do to his combine injury.
Nice thing about the FA's they have so far, they can certainly look at BPA the first three rounds, and not have to reach.
Possibility of moving back in the 1st and/or 2nd just became greater in my mind.

The free agents all appear to be stopgaps.

Nothing likely changes in the draft other than they will be less tempted to draft by position and can focus on BPA.

WR is still likely a top priority.

Still think it' playing out. I could see a WR or two not being on this roster come the draft and we could still go after a LB in FA as right now that's a pretty massive need.

Actually if nothing changes before the draft I could see as many as four LB's taken. A couple to play in defense replacing Hitchens and Durant an ST guy replacing Wilbur and maybe a late ST or PS guy to round out the roster as LB's tend to get injured a fair bit.

If Vita Vea slips, wow, you take him. Thing is, he won't slip. Someone will take him by the 15th pick. Payne would be a good 1-tech. LB Vander Esch? Meh, he's ok, not great. Another Byron Jones combine standout who racked up numbers playing in a lesser conference. If Vea and Payne are gone, trade down several picks and pick up an extra 3rd or 4th rounder.

If we see a run on QB's early...he may slip.

The way I have it:
QB's:
1. Darnold
2. Mayfield
3. Rosen
4. Allen

Non QB's:
1. Chubb
2. Barkly
3. Nelson
4. Fitzpatrick
5. James
6. Edmunds
7. Ward
8. Vea

That's 12 guys I'm pretty confident will go before our pick. I've had Roquon in there too but I thought that video on why he might drop was pretty compelling so no longer have him as a lock. Beyond that, if I had to guess I'd say a WR, OT and DE goes before our pick just because they're expensive positions which would probably be McGinchey, Davenport and Ridley which brings it to 15 guys.

We should have or pick of LVE or Evans if that’s what we want to do

1.Leighton Vander Esch,LB-Boise St
2.Jessie Bates,S-WF
3.Nathan Shepherd,DT-Ft Hayes St

This is really good but even with the two offensive lineman signings I still want a starting caliber G or OT early. How about we package the two 4th rounders and move up for Nathan shepherd after we draft a starting caliber offensive lineman?

agreed.
I based this on IF Collins moved back to OG.
If we were to get these 3....Branden Parker,T-NC State could be had in the 4th.....Ucla C Scott Quessenberry...who also can play OG...could also be had in the 4th.And I think he could start.
If Collins stays at RT.....then no question OG within the 1st 2Rds is a MUST.

Tough one. Nathan is 25, and needs a redshirt year. I like his skills, but it's always scary picking small school guys before the 4th.
