After the obvious, the real thing that bothers me ..

Obviously, getting hammered by your division rival bothers me, but when I stand back and think about it, there's more.

Over the last half of our season, we had road games against all of our Division rivals.

Against the Eagles we played poorly throughout the game, and although we got a miracle at the end, we played a bad game.

Against the Giants, we played poorly.

Against the Skins, we played poorly, to Biblical proportions.

Those were our biggest games, and we should have played our best games.

What is wrong here ?

Maybe Parcells forgot to put out the mouse traps, or the time clocks, ... no wait, that was Campo.

Whether or not we won those games, we should at least come out prepared and give a great effort to play a great game.

I didn't see that in any of our "BIG" division games in the last half of the season, ... and that bothers me.

What gives ?

There are times when teams are just flat out better, there are times when you are just due for a butt whoopin.

This may have been one of those times but this is becoming a trend.

3rd year in a row with a 2nd half of the season collapse... last year was just bad all around, but I'm wondering why, every year, Dallas falls flat on their face after in the 2nd half of the season...

Three straight five and elevens, then BP arrives, then we just can't sustain anything...

This second half of the season, I've seen...

QB gets WAAAY too much pressure...
Defense springs leaks... run defense is just baffling.
Pass rush... whatever pressure we had went limp from the MNF Philly game on.

Something is wrong when a team continues to NOT show up for big games against your most hated rivals.

It used to be when we had big games, they were great games.

We battled, we fought, we may win, we may lose, but when it was over we had seen a great effort and a great game.

It seems like we were just not interested these three games.

But did you like the effort ?

Did you see our Defense flying around ? No, we were missing tackles, misjudging INT's, playing passive.

Did you see our Offense moving the ball ? No, we were holding, false starting, dropping passes, missing field goals.

If you were satisfied with the effort and our "showing", then that is your choice.

I didn't like the effort, ... but in the end, they still get in their expensive cars and drive to their expensive houses.

So no big deal.

You say we couldn't score??? Barber scored, (I think it was still 7-0, maybe 14) but it was called back because of a penalty on LA, then we missed a makable FG.

We were our own worst enemy.

That's what bothers me more than anything. This team has yet to come out for a road game ready to play. Well...the first game of the season in SD was probably the only time we came out with some fire. Even in San Fran, we almost got blown out. But like you said, the 3 division games on the road have been embarassing. We were LUCKY we didn't get blown out in the Philly and NYG games as we did in Washington. You have to question the coaching here. In each game we came out flat and seemingly unprepared...
