After watching all NFCE games, I must say...

That the cowboys are the class of the division ATM. Even though we both have the same moment, the cowboys offense is just something none of these NFCE teams can roll with right now.

Our defense looked great, but our offense is just flat out horrible. Jason seems like he can only make deep passes, and has trouble making the short and intermediate throws.

But honestly, I cant wait till our teams first meetings. It will really be a test for our team, and that is the only time that I will really be able to judge my team compared to yours.

I agree, Dallas looks best now, but I find it troubling that Washington can go on the road and beat Philly without looking great...if they get more confident on offense it could be trouble...although even so Dallas' offense is better.

We'll see. I've always enjoyed the rivalry but both teams need to be competitve (even though that doesn't necessarily correlate with the outcome of the games.)

It's early on and I think the Skins are doing okay. Defense is looking good, offense not so much, but 2-0 is 2-0.

I still think the Eagles will be back in the hunt though; you can't write anyone off 1/8th into the season.

I wish we could get Newman back though.

I mean, its kind of hard to judge a team after only two games of the season. However, so far, this is what I think. I think we will be a grind it out type team all year, and that all of these games are going to be close. Our offense isnt good enough to blow anyone out, but our defense will never let us get blown. We will see when we play a good offense like dallas how we really fair.

Nice job by the Skins. How is Thomas? I heard he got injured tonight.

I actually think Dallas matches up well with the skins on both sides of the ball, but your run game could hurt us without Fergy and our lack of depth at NT. Now, if we take a chance with the Tank, things change quite a bit and depth is no longer an issue if we can stay healthy.

If you think us losing Newman is BAD, both Dawkins and Considine went down, doesn't look good-now that's WORSE.

The Atlanta Braves went for YEARS being one of the darlings of baseball, and it all came it an end recently. Looks to be the same for the Eagles-NO excuse for them to lose tonight.

I dont think there is a favorite yet. Its too early.

If the giants decide to show up next week they will give you a hard time, you simply can not hit manning their line has been excellent.

Call me crazy but I wont count the eagles out until they are officially out.

Dallas, Washington and Philly are going to battle all year, maybe split all the matchups. That will make the afc games more critical because if one of the teams gets beat by the the bills or the jets that could be the key game. Or if someone upsets new england, which I dont see happening.

I wonder if Cowboys interested in Tank Johnson as a NT or a DE. Wade sounded pleased with Ratliff's play on Sunday. Also we don't know if Johnson can even play in a 3-4. Given the failure of our DL (except for Ratliff) to generate pressure on the Dolphins and since Johnson supposedly was more a pressure type DT, is there a possibility he might be brought in to replace Spears or Canty. Of course there's still 6 games remaining on his suspension. Oh well, it can't hurt to check him out but worried about bringing that kind of player on board.

The NFC east might be the worst of the 4 NFC divisions right now...

Let's take a look.

NFC North
Packers 2-0
Lions 2-0
Petersons 1-1
Bears 1-1

NFC West
Niners 2-0
Hawks 2-0
Cards 1-1
Rams 1-1

Well, on second thought...

NFC South
Panthers 1-1
Yucs 0-2
Falcons 0-2
Aints 0-2

Last year, everyone claimed the NFC East was the best division in football. Well, might have been but definitely not this year. Not yet, anyway. We might just have one team make the playoff this year.

Bah save it.

Cowboys look good, Skins don't look pretty, but the standings remain:
Commanders 2-0
Cowboys 2-0
Eagles 0-2
Giants 0-2

We'll see you Cowboys later in the season. Hopefully both teams will be in contention and those games will be huge.

I agree about Dallas being the best team in our division currently. But I disagree about Campbell, his real problem isn't short and intermediate throws but setting his feet and throwing passes fundamentally.

He made some good short and intermediate throws tonight for first downs. But check the overthrow to a wide open Moss that would've sealed the game.

Here is how I rank the divsion right now:
1. Cowboys
2. Skins
3. Eagles
4. Giants

eli Manning is playing excellent, I think you will find out next week. The giants offense is good and if their is any pride left in the locker room we will see it this week. A divisional road game could bring out the best of them.

Your defense is very good. I dont think you have to worry about that. Your issues are going to be will campbell throw the game away late if they put it in his hands.

IMO you outplayed the eagles last year in december and you only lost because campbell threw the game away on a 5 yard dig route that sheppard took to the house. Tonight was the same game, he didnt throw it away though.

The eagles insistence on blitzing was odd to me, the Commanders were sending two guys out on routes and the eagles left them singled up and blitzed without ever getting there...made no sense to me. I would think you want to stay back and force the mistake or the dump off.

I think the Giants will be there also if Eli keeps playing like he has so far. He made a couple of mistakes this week, but he's looking far better than he did last year.
