After watching MNF I think next week

Watching the game tonight the Vikings only made plays when the Jets blitzed like idiots and left their corners 1on1. I really think we rush 3 next week in passing downs because as you can see Favre will either screw it up or is not in sync with his recievers yet to make a pin point throw. I know they won by blitzing at the end of the game but there were some open receivers and you know the way our luck has gone this year they will connect. That's what I would do. Stop APete first and foremost and play max coverage the entire game and be patient. I would put Newman on Harvin the whole game because he is the key reciever to stop. If they give up a deep one to Moss they are idiots. As you can see by tonight thats the only route he can run and 5 days from now won't be much better. They kissed Cromatire's butt tonight when he had an easy night knowing a reciever is only running one route. Next week should be interesting. Opinions

All I can state for sure is next week we have 2 teams who's seasons are on life support, one more loss will terminate any play-off hopes. One team will want it more, and be better prepared, they will win.

It better be us.

If we go to 1-4 I still dont think its over. Even though it's very unrealistic I still think we can sweep the NFC east from here out. Don't know why but I think we can. The game in NY will be the toughest test. Were just going to have to beat one of these teams Indy,NO, or GB. 10-6 is possible.

Take a gander at our schedule. We are on the verge of oblivion right now. If we lose next week, it's time to start looking at who will be available in the draft that can make an immediate impact.

I was happy to see Favruh gripping his elbow late in the game.

Also . . . the Vikings lost a starting corner with a knee injury. Odds are he misses next week.

Couple that with the Vikings playing a late, rain delayed MNF game on the road against a physical opponent . . . and I think we win this game with relative ease.

...giving up a touchdown to Moss would'nt exactly make them idiots...the first TD pass from Favre down the right sideline was indefensible even for Cromartie...Moss shielded him away from a perfectly thrown ball...Cromartie played it perfectly, keeping Moss outside but the pass was put where only he could get it...it will happen again to many teams...

...if the oline collapses like it did in January, the Vikings would'nt need more than a few throw-ups to Moss deep...throw in a Harvin return for a touchdown versus a shaky special teams unit and voila!...

I disagree. You blitz the crap outta the old man. And I don't mean the "Brooking up the middle blitz" that I don't ever wanna see again.

The way our secondary leaves guys running wide open, what we do up front doesn't matter much.

I'm tired of letting teams dictate to us....I'm with Cwbyfan72...time to get agressive and blitz from everywhere.

I agree, because the way that Moss and Favre are going to beat you is with the long ball. I don't care if we give up short passes to them, just don't get beat deep and put on the pressure.

Or they could be a bit deflated , they did make a big comeback and alas the great one deceived again, Game changing interception by Favre!

Having said that just before the 3rd TD Brett was clinching his elbow. I guess he is breaking down , it will be tough to survive the 16 game season for him, even if he did it will be more adreneline than fitness.

Spencer and Ware should take a note of that, start hitting his arm even he throws just in time ,which will lead his floppers late. But it another matter our D will catch them

A battle of two hyped 1-3 teams next week, lets see Brooking and company has any pride. Vikings D is still good, so our O-Line will have hands full. Romo can attack their secondary as their CBs are deopping like flies. But Garrett has to call a quick fire high percentage plays.

Our secondary has to take care of Moss.

Moss vs Jenkins and A. Ball worries me.

Moss vs Tnew, not so worried.

The Vikes DL versus our OL concerns me. We will find out a lot about our OL this week.

The team plays better on the road. If the Cowboys lose, the Vikings wont beat them, they will beat themselves.

.

I'd take a gimpy Favre over Vince Young any day of the week - and look what he just did to us. Without Randy Moss.

That said, this is the type of game we usually win. The one that gets your hopes up just that tiny little amount before they thoroughly obliterate them again.

I agree. We lose this week, this season is done. The team play is way too inconsistent to come back from 1-4. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it happening or expect it.

The Vikes are what they are. An older team who has choosen vets over development. We will be looking for revenge and can put a nail in their coffin.

I fully expect that we kick their *** next week.

Of course, I also expect that we follow that up with a crushing loss to either NYG or Jax.

Don't worry ... our matchups are great. Can't wait to see our OL against their DL, how our linebackers cover Shiancoe and how Alan Ball handles deep coverage on Randy Moss.
:abuseme:

Romo and our WRs should pick apart that Vikings secondary all day long, expecially if Griffin retore his ACL, I just have no faith whatsoever that our OL is going to give them the opportunity to do it.

That's what I see. Probably the Giants because I hate them so much.
