Again Reubin Bain refuses to run the 40( Combine,Pro Day)

Idk. If you train all this short area, power movements, running a 40 feels out of your nature doesn’t it?

Let’s say he tried a few and the times stunk and his hammies got tight, and he went back to squat thrusts is that a big deal?


To me he looks like he could be like a fan favorite for a decade. Like ugly uniform and no gloves and hip pads sticking out. Gains some bulk and does some laroi glover impression on the inside.

I just can’t see that power and bend not generating team pressure. Especially when his teammates learn what percent of the quarterbacks pocket he’ll help disrupt,
 
Tape doesn't lie. He dominated the best college had to offer last year in spite of his arm length and perhaps less than stellar 40 time. Speed isn't his game. He's a power guy. He's not Von Miller off the edge. He is going to bull rush and set the edge.
 
These players all have gps times recorded during the season nowadays. They know the fastest mph he has run at any point. That doesnt concern me as much as the short arms. I think there is a good chance he is there at 12.

No player scares me more for the Cowboys at pick 12 than Bain. I can’t get over that weird build. He is also not a big guy. It’s funny how some on the board are whining and crying about Allen working out but I don’t see the same fire concerning Bain. He looks really small.

he is 6-2 and 263 Lbs,how is that small? If Bain had 32 inch arms he would be a top 5 pick in this draft.

Timb, as I've stated before, I truly appreciate the time you take to post your drafts. HOWEVER, your obsession with over-ranking players based on 40 times is EXACTLY why the Raiders started sucking so bad at the end of the Al Davis era - speed doesn't mean JACK SQUAT if the player doesn't have the football IQ to know where they're even going. Game tape is FAR MORE important.

30 inch arms vs OTs that have 34 inch arms and fast and strong. These OTs are going to latch on him and take him anywhere they want. Tyler Guyton 34 1/8 arm length just for one.

For a defensive end that is tiny. Gary is bigger than Bain and he is an outside linebacker. Bailey, Lawrence, Faulk, Mesidor, Parker, ect are all much taller/longer/better athletes.

These guys talk about Bains power and his NCAA playoff performance. What first round offensive tackle did he go up against in the playoffs? Sometimes I wonder what the board and BB are watching.
