How is it bogus? Do you honestly believe other teams don't have scrambles/sacks/wr runs? If you honestly believe that, boy are you CLUELESS. Those other teams deal with the same effects Dallas does, yet Dallas is one of the worst in those situations. Be my guest though and keep being ignorant.

You're trying to use that info as a reflection of our RBs when other variables and positions play into those numbers. People are calling for more runs to our RBs.

Hyperextended knee, no serious injury. Hopefully back for the Bears but it sounds like the kind of thing they have to evaluate after a couple of days to know for sure.

It looked like a hyperextension at the time. I'm glad that's 'all' it is. Hopefully he's back, because I love the dimension the screen game gives to our offense. He was also hitting holes faster than I've seen in a long while tonight (both backs were, actually), and knifing through some tight spots. Fun to watch.

Totally agree, its a new dimension and a welcome one. The other element I thought we would see this year was James Hanna, he showed flashes as a rookie of being able to get behind LBs as a TE and definitely has the speed to do it. I really thought that would be part of the offense this year but we haven't seen anything from Hanna this season.

Yep. He sure looked like a matchup advantage playing against trailing LBs late last season. I thought he'd be good for a handful of big plays this season and for his share of move-the-chains plays. Instead, we get him blocking and that weird TE screen most of the year. Befuddling.

Bears are 32nd in rushing yards allowed, 29th in rushing TD allowed, 31st in yards per carry allowed, and 32nd in yards per game allowed.

interesting stat-we can definitely keep their high powered offense off the filed if we can sustain drives with a good running game.

With the way our defense has been playing (poorly) , it's imperitive that we eat some clock and keep them off the field as much as possible.

It's bogus because those stats include runs by Romo, Dez, Williams, Harris (all have had losses on reverses) & sacks by Romo on 2nd and. 3rd down passes. Show me the numbers by down for the RBs especially Murray and Dunbar.

You don't think other teams deal with those as well? Yes or No

The fact is our running game is among the bottom in YPC in critical situations. Other teams deal with sacks, and negative WR runs as well, so that's a moot point.

I'm not being funny when I say I don't care about other teams stats. You'd then have to factor their play calling among other factors. It's literally changing the convo. This is about a stat that reflects the teams overall run production on those downs and not just the RBs, the position that is the basis for this false premise that we abandon the run because were poor at it.

You'd have to ask Percy for the exact source, but it was in a thread a couple days ago. I'm sure you could find it in his recent post history, I would get it but I'm kinda doing other stuff at the moment.

most likely because you are wrong
our YPC is among the best, at least top half in the league

but keep that dream alive
