Agent Zero says everything is fun again! Juanyeh Thomas agrees!

This is the honeymoon grace period where players declare how fit, fierce and comfortable they are......and then the real games begin and the tone quickly changes.

Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.

"Best Shape of My Life" can suddenly turn into IR and PUP and the past platitudes vanish into thin air
Maybe I’ve missed it but I haven’t heard any player say I’m in the best shape of my life.

Steel? Jazz, these Cowboys crumple like aluminum foil. Come on now.
Check last years roster vs this years roster and last years coach’s vs this years coaches and tell me “these” Cowboys are not different.

I didn't believe him until I started hanging here. I'm convince the powers that be and all the lunatics they let escape the asylum, are all trolls, and fans of other teams pretending to be Cowboy fans. The negativity here is putrid. There are about only 10 true fans left here.
It’s like a cult of haters. Who can out hate who. It’s why I have to take a break from it from time to time. Too much is too much.

I vowed not to buy any hype. None at all zero I don’t care how good it sounds this season until I see it on the field. Every year for 26 years we hear how this is the year. The Cowboys are going to bounce back. They got this player. They got that player, blah blah blah. And I have to admit I’ve fallen for a number of times. Not doing it this year. Put up or shut up. Nobody on this Cowboys team or within the organization Should be running their mouths. It should be nothing but concentration and silence and then proof on the field. Why do you fans continue to fall for the same trap every year? I’m not saying this Cowboys team might not be decent this year, but I’m not listening to any of the Talking Heads or any of the players or any of the coaches or any of the hype until I look up at the score after the first 4 to 6 weeks. And if we come out ahead on that more times than not, I might give this team some credit.

I'm excited but cautiously optimistic. We ought to be excited. That said, I'm like you, SHOW ME ON THE FIELD. The hype train is already on full blast coming from some of our players. What gets me baffled is when players that haven't done anything much start talking this time of year Everytime. So let's get this right, we having fun now at practice so NOW we will move the needle? Give me a break. This league is not college, not highschool. These are pros you face. All the talking in the world, all the workout vids, slogans, aren't going to help us win. When the rubber meets the road, that's what I care about. Nothing else matters but the results. The journey to get the wins is something we can look back on afterwards and reflect.

Man this was the theme of Tyron Smith last 5 years here. Every summer he looked the best he’s ever looked and then regular season started and we’re dependent on backups

And some people around here wanted to bring him back . What Phil Pozderac is busy ?

One of the Cowboys quarterbacks went up to Chidobe Awuzie after a recent practice to ask what the defense was doing to disguise a look that confused him.

A short time later, another quarterback asked the corner the same question about another scheme.

Those are inquiries Awuzie didn’t field in his first three seasons with the club.

“Last year, everybody knew what we were running,’’ Awuzie said. “I’m not saying it was bad. We had great players. We wanted to execute.

“Now, we’re starting to be a little bit more multiple. Predisguised looks. It’s like a game. They’re trying to figure it out.

“I think it’s going to be great.‘’

^^this was about Mike Nolan. You'd be smart to ignore everything these losers say. EVERYTHING

We read and hear about this every time we change a coordinator.

"This is the real sh/t. This is so great. What a great change."

More geeky nicknames.

More talk.

More podcasts.

Blah blah blah blah.

How refreshing would it be to see the team just grinding....too tired and focused to give a moment's thought on coming up with Mantras, Nicknames, Dances, or podcast topics.

I thought this team might go 8-9 this year, but they're already talking more than EVER. Now I'm wondering if that was way too generous, and thus might be a legit 6-11 type year

Rust never sleeps... some might get the reference.
Average age on this board is 73.6 so I imagine a lot of them do “remember” it vaguely, but even though they are of the right age, I also get the sense they were more into film scores and their parents Dean Martin records. Maybe some Lorne Greene. When they really got wild, they put on some Gerry and the Pacemakers or the Dave Clark Five.

The Parcells "militant" era didn't breed any SB's... not sure why you want it back.

We all want a winning culture here, but it starts in the lockerroom. I for one like that players are saying they're having fun. That turns into the team holding each other accountable... that's whats been missing in the playoffs and not just blaming Dak for everything.

If you don't like seeing players having fun, sports ain't for you.
NO it starts with the stupid old fart at the top.

Only hope we have is somehow we win in spite of him.

I'm glad you can still recognize us 10 or so true Cowboys fans at CZ. ;)

That was icing on the cake for those teams. And also....those were given by other people... they didn't sit around naming themselves like dorks

THIS team isn't those teams. THIS team needs to drop all the pretentious krap, realize they are a middling unsuccessful team that needs a drill sergeant breaking them down to the foundation and building them up again from scratch.

But THIS team won't do that. They want the dessert without dinner. They want the reward without working for it. They want the attention, spotlight, nicknames, and hoopla that comes with being a champion, without doing the work to actually become anything close to contending for a championship....and their Owner is the ring leader.

They aren't hard-core. They're soft and squishy like Twinkies.

And most of the fans in here buy into it. Welp, 30 years hasn't been enough to wake you people up, maybe 40 will do the trick? 50? SMH
