Ah the classic "stop the complaining" posts

I don't post here often but it seems like the drama in here never ends. The names change but the posts remain the same. This post is just another classic. The forum starts to whine and then you have these sanctimonious posts complaining about all the whining which then just leads to more whining and feuding

Here is a tip, if you don't like all the whining, don't respond to these posts. In other words, people are just putting out bait for people to respond to. You need two hands to clap, likewise, you need two posters to start a flame war. If people just agreed or ignored posts they disagreed with, none of this drama would exist. I don't have a problem with disagreeing or arguing for that matter. I'm not asking for peace. However, those who complain about the lack of civility in this forum are the same annoying people who respond to everything they disagree with and thus create flames. The hypocrisy is truly amusing. Anyway, carry on as I'm sure many will blast me for this post. I think it's great!

I doubt any of you truly want peace. If you wanted these posts to end, you would know how to accomplish that. Your posts are just another way to incite people the way the "complainers" routinely do.

I was deliberately being a hypocrite as well because my post is going to infuriate some people. I just wanted to have a little fun.

I just think it's funny because the "I want peace" threads end being just another antagonistic thread that isn't any different than the negative ones.

Rushes to create a "Stop the complaining of 'Stop the Complaining' posts" thread

All kidding aside .. Most of the fans here care deeply for the Cowboys and it hurts when they lose so venting is a way of dealing with it. While I don't want to see a billion complaint threads when most could be combined in one single thread, I also don't like to see other fans telling fans to stop the complaining.

Sports is full of ups and downs and there will be times that everyone is throwing out compliments and hefty expectations and there will be times where the ship is sinking and the world seems like a flushed toilet.

In the immortal words of Rodney King .. "Can't we all just get along?"

Those and the ones with "mystery" elided subject headings (eg, "Can you believe....") are my two pet peeves. Thank you, Mr. Woods, for speaking on behalf of the silent, critical yet supportive majority.

You know the funny thing is ... I really normally do not like the complaining, whining, moaning, crying threads after losses.

Really can't stand them for the most part.

But even I have to get a little upset with the recent play of our team from the coaches to the players.

Some of those complaining threads that normally would irk me have not recently. Hard not to complain with the way the team, as a whole have been playing.

So now the only ones that annoy me is the really far out there threads...ones that just go beyond complaining but to a whole new level of complaining and conspiracy.

Honestly, even if you consider yourself a huge homer, I just can't see how anyone would not be complaining some what after the last few weeks. Even if that complaining is just to yourself and not posting it on a message board.

I don't take any posts seriously any more. I realize that all of these people in here are good people who would act differently if you met them in person. Whining and complaining is therapeutic and they want their voice to be heard. This is the internet.

I just laugh when I read about the "Stop the Hate" threads because it's just people venting. They don't hate anything they are spewing about.

I agree, plus I realize that if the forum gets too negative, just take a hiatus. That's what I do. Trust me, you will miss reading the negative posts if you haven't been here for a while. It's like your annoying older brother that beats up on you. Yeah, it's annoying but if you haven't seen him in a while, you kind miss the old fights.
