Bledsoe will be sacked 4 times today. Glover & Ellis can't play the 3-4. Dat will be left out. There's no way we'll beat the Chargers in SDO. The sky is falling!

And oh yeah--the team has all those "old Bill's guys" who can't play any more.

Cough.

(Can I just say--AB who? & Quincy Morgan who?)

Ok, I'll admit. I was Tivoing the game & almost stopped it after that baaaadd second possession. But I figured I'd hang in there just a little while longer.

I'm rewatching it again, this time without quite the palpitations.

That second possession brought back Poodle flashbacks. I was crying. I was a nervous wreck.

Until we won the game that is. Then all was mostly well in the world again.

What discouraged me was we were actually moving the ball well early.

That first drive had the potential to be something nice until the most routine of events (the snap) couldn't be executed correctly. Then Julius reeled off a nice run the next possession, only to be negated by one of five straight penalties.

My concern at the time was against San Diego's run defense, I didn't think those opportunities would be there later in the game. And if they took away our running threat, I was pretty sure they'd take Bledsoe's passing out of the game.
