ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Commanders placed cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon on the reserve/retired list.

Witherspoon, 31, informed the Commanders about his intentions on Tuesday morning, according to a team source.


He was signed to be backup depth for training camp and was getting reps because Amos went on the PUP.

Based on success, it might be the best spot for him. That or reuniting with Al Harris. Considering what he did with Nahshon Wright last year, I'd say Harris has the best chance of getting Diggs to play more like his old self.
