Aikman go away!

I competely agree about Joe Buck. I hate him to call a game, it seems even worse when its a Cowboy game. I wish he'd go back and stick with baseball.

I don't care much for his game calling either - probably a great guy, but I think I'd rather listen to Madden bumble on about grass stained jerseys than listen Joe Buck's narrow insight.

Before this game, I didn't care much for Aikman's schtick either, but I'll reserve judgement as it seems that he is coming around to his senses and at least making a more accurate assesment of the team.

Sure, a few weeks ago we were a .500 team, but it was obvious that our team was better than that, as our record currently reflects.

I think Aikman just kinda goes where the wind blows.

Why do we need another thread about this? Every time he calls a game someone on here has to complain about his "anti-Cowboy bias".

He's a good color guy. The best rught now IMO. He's done nothing but praise the Cowboys this game. He's been gaga over Romo all game and has had good things to say about the defense.

some people just take honest critisizm personally and think we can do no wrong and only our "good" points should be points of discussion.

Aikman is in the circle of trust right now..if we Lose I have to blame it on Aikman though:laugh2:

the aikman haters are the ones who usally come across as the "homers". so we're not perfect - is he not allowed to talk about it?

geez people - you act as if anyone who says we have a flaw should be shot.

Notice though, that only now that we're doing well and looking like a playoff team is he starting to give this team any credit.

This team didn't just get good in 3 weeks.

If we lose, I'm making an Aikman dartboard - NOT!

Do you really realize how silly that sounds?

Why would he say good things about them when they have not been playing as good as they can prior to that.

Just a few games ago we were just at .500.

I just know this...I don't like hearing Jaws talk about how good the eagles are, I don't care to hear Irvin and his OVER THE TOP homerism and the reason I like Aikman is because he is one of the few who actually do their job as a commentator like he should...by calling it as he sees it instead of homerism like Jaws, Irvin or Theeezman.

it got good when romo hit the field. this "he's coming around" talk is just stupid because he's going to say what he feels and *he should* regardless of his place in history as a cowboys player.

we're not a perfect team and him pointing out areas of improvement or concern doesn't make him a bad guy - just honest.

some people take that bad.

OK, I see your points and they are valid points. But I just think that if you have an ex-Cowboy calling the game, that they should be a little bias.

These guys are just to stiff for my taste. And I think this team has been good this whole year. I don't think Aikman does.

Of course, Romo has made a great impact ... but there have been other aspects of the team that have looked good. I just don't think that I've heard Aikman say anything positive about this team, up until this game.

I guess that's all I'm saying.

Perhaps I got a little bit ahead on the assesment, but I think that it could at least apply to some of the previous games that Aikman has called this year.

Well the previous Dallas games Aikman and Buck called this season the cowboys have lost, might be why Aikman was not being so gracious towards the cowboys since they did not play well enough to win.

I think Aikman just revealed his own perspective on the Cowboys ....

"If you weren't impressed with the Cowboys before this Thanksgiving Day, what do you think now"?

Something like that ...

Perhaps Romo swayed his perspective.

I'll say that I really didn't expect Romo to play this well. But I welcome the pleasant surprise with open arms.

I get so weary of this. From here on out, every time Aikman calls one our games I'm starting a thread that says "THANK YOU THAT AIKMAN IS CALLING OUR GAME! I can't stand those unprofessional biased color guys."

At least we will have one positive thread along these lines in the sea of "why doesn't he praise the cowboys regardless of what they do!!!!! waaaaaaa" threads.

Joe Buck said that. The play by play guy you can't stand.

:) Stands to reason ...

Romo is looking like the best quarterback in the league right now.

I guess that might change one's perspective, eh?

"i'm not sure that this Dallas Cowboys team isn't the best team in the NFC" - Troy Aikman

~Inserts foot :eek::

Hey, it's nice to hear though. :)

~pinches self

Aikman said a couple of minutes ago that he wasn't sure that Dallas wasn't the best team in the NFC

yeah, he goes out of his way to be negative /sarcasm

Well, the way that this team is clicking with Romo at the helm, I can't say that I blame him. I feel the same way about this team.

I guess that Drew Bledsoe really hindered this team more than I thought. It's nice to see this guy playing so well.

I'll take Aikman's comment even one step further.

Tony Romo is playing as good, if not better, than any quarterback in the NFL.

Are you guys serious. Are you that anal that you have to look for something tobe ma about

Troy Aikman has earned the right to say anything about the Cowboys as long as he says it respectfully ....

He earned it with 3 Superbowls and alot of sweat, blood, and head trama.
