Aikman is a perfectionist. He demands it from himself and expects it from others.

I agree, it's not surprising he didn't go gah-gah over some of the other teams we have fielded over the years.

He even insinuated today that he would consider it a compliment to be compared to Romo. That says a lot.

I have to agree. He calls it like he see's it. When we suck, let's face it, we suck well. It's hard to call game, I would assume . It'd be real hard to call some of the earlier Dallas games without using some form of profanity. Can't do that, right?

To add, he said we found our new franchise quarterback and opined that this might be close to the best team in the conference if memory serves.

Troy likes to throw disclaimers in his praise. He does it all the time, with every team. He rarely "gushes."

Aikman just wants to see the Cowboys play good football and believe me he roots for the Boys just as hard as Emmitt, Michael or the rest of the old greats....he doesn't show it when he's analyzing the game as much as some would like.

Because it is a lace panties mantra that when we play horribly and execute equally bad or have players who fall short of expectations, that while we can say whatever we want about them on a message board, the announcers, in particular former players for this team, must gush about them and not be the least bit critical. Criticism equals bias and hatred when displayed by a media member. It means honesty when displayed by a normal fan.

Heaven forbid an announcer being honest. It must not be allowed or tolerated at any cost.
