I think there is more to the Cowboys — it is easy to say as an owner or a general manger or as any one else in the organization, ‘oh, it’s coaching.’ It runs deeper than that. There have been a lot of coaches that have come through the organization and the results have been pretty familiar from one season to the next overall.

I agree that you have to take a hard look at everything, but I think just saying 'we have this great roster and it’s all about coaching," I think that’s a little bit of a cop out.

Most people know it's deeper than the head coach. But the people above the head coach are not going to get fired, so they settle for a new coach.

I'm past the point of thinking a coach is going to be able to overcome the dysfunction permeating from the top on down. I'll believe it if I see it.

I think we all wanted Garrett To win championships, but the bottom line is this team is not improving. Will McClay helped improve the roster. Now the only improvement would be with the coaching staff. There is nothing I would like more than to see the cowboys win the Super Bowl. At this point, the team will be lucky to make the playoffs, Which is not saying a lot.

Besides Johnson and Parcells, no coach here was good enough. Gailey should've gotten more of a chance and neither Campo or Garrett or Phillips should've ever been hired in the first place. We'll see where this decision goes, but there are quality coaches miles ahead of what they have now. And no Jerry isn't going anywhere. So get a real coach or not., That's up to him. But they don't have one now that's for dam sure.

Aikmans two cents are worth more than Garrett's entire portfolio.

Nah..

Jerry Jones will never get the blame and the only blame he deserves is putting talented teams into the hands of a coach that gives them no edge on Sunday.

Interesting insight, obviously the coaches don't fully pick the players that go on the field. Could we be finding the wrong players that don't fit the scheme? Maybe

When the owner neuters the coach every time you get a team that acts the way ours does.
They are soft. The organizational structure creates soft men.

Jerry won’t get out of the way. This will be our team makeup until Jerry passes or isn’t mentally capable.

we are the Hollywood Cowboys.

Everyone's just assuming Aikman's referring to the Jones family, and well, they're probably right. At first, I thought maybe he was talking about more, but I don't see what other possibilities there are, short of aliens, curses, or league wide conspiracies.
