I don't know David Price is also having a good year.

CJ Wilson is running with that pack too. All three of them are dominating hitters.

All though if I had to give it to someone, Price is the most effective stat wise. CJ has the lowest ERA, but SO to innings pitched is Price. CC has as many SO as Price, but he also has about 30 more innings pitched. CJ has the best WHIP which is a pretty telling stat.

If it's not C.C., then I think it's Felix Hernandez.

If we are not awarding, based on wins, which is pretty much how it's always been done, then it has to be on actual pitching stats and that would mean Hernandez.

He's got 200Ks, an ERA of 2.38 and 59 BBs.

At the beginning of the day, today, Yanks are 2.5 up on the Rays. However, both are losing right now. Rays are only down 1, Yanks are down 4.

Both Yanks and Rays lost yesterday. Yankees are still up 2.5 in the East starting to day.

Yanks beat O's last night with a walk off HR. O's beat the crap out of the Yanks in that series. They were lucky to win that game.

Rays got beat by Sox last night.

As of this morning, Yanks are still up 2.5 in the AL East.

Both teams are off today.

Tonight starts the toughest part of the Yankees season with a 3 game stand against Texas in Arlington. After that, they fly to Tampa for a 3 game stand in Tampa (no days off), After that, a day off and then they have 3 against the O's in Baltimore before returning home (no days off) and playing a 7 game stretch, 4 against TB and 3 against Boston. They close the month on the road (no days off) by flying to Toronto and playing the Jays for a three game set. They get a single travel day off and then fly to Boston to close the season for 3 against arch rival Sox.

Yanks were 7-3 in their last 10. I believed that they had to go 8-2 at a minimum in order to win out. Having said that, I did not expect the Rays to go 5-5 against the schedule they had either.

Should be interesting down the stretch.

Kinda feel sorry for the sox, injury plagued but still manage to be one of the best in the mlb, they're this years version of the angels. Unfortunately they play in the east and unless the rays implode(i don't think the yankees will, their bats are too good) they're not making the playoffs.

Should be 2 wild cards, a bunch of great teams will be left in the cold this year.

How can a series against a barely .500 crap team like the Rangers be the start of a tough stretch?

The O's are playing better than the Rangers.

O's are playing better then the Rangers right now. Probably better then the Yankees too. However, the Rangers are leading their division and must win to keep distance with the A's. Would be tough for the A's to make up 7.5 games but if the Rangers lay down against the Yankees, they could do it.

If it makes more sense, you can say that the Yankees tough stretch started last week against the O's.

Yankees left 18 stranded and lost on a walk off homer in 13. TB got up 6 in the 1st inning, only to get tied up 8-8. Won it in the 9th on a throwing error by the Jays.

Rays pull to within 1.5 games.

Yanks back in front by .5 game after a crazy 8-7 win.

I can't believe they won that game 8-7. They were up like 6 zip in the top of the 5th and then it's like they just took there foot off or something and the flood gates opened. I don't know what's going on with their pitching staff this year. It's weird.
