Al Harris and Quinn

Are the reason why #7 and #11 do what they do on the field. I just watched a clip of Harris challenging Diggs, players like stuff like that. We all know how Quinn is with Micah. I hope we don't lose these coaches anytime soon. Great job coaches, please give your thoughts
I would make Quinn HC if I had to, to keep him.
And that is not meant to be disrespectful to Mac.
Quinn is just that vital.

The thing is all these coaches are MM's guys, he brought them all in. He did retain Leon Lett, but demoted him to an assistant DL coach. I think he kept a few other, but since been replaced.
Except wonder idiot Moore.
He is Jerry's guy. But Moore has done well with game plans over all with Rush. It is just he has brain farts during the games at times.

Jerry allowed MM to hire his own staff, to the disbelief of many, except Moore. Though MM said he wanted him to stay, not to mess us the rapport on the offense.
That no one believes, not even me.
When Jerry hired MM it was made a big deal that he was allowed to hire his own staff, not the usual Jerry’s pet cats plus whoever else he had to pay anyway…..oh, except the entire offense. Nothing was different but they still spun it that way. Jerry forces a coordinator on everyone….even Parcells.

Then again MM wanted Nolan, which was some sort of joke on all of us.

Im no Moore fan, but I’ve been impressed with his game plan and play calling the last few games.

Makes me wonder how much of his game plans when Dak plays is a mandate from above.

Loved the Al Harris hiring from minute one.

Haven’t seen Dallas DBs this aggressive since 1981.

Brown and Lewis were meh before he showed up, and they are now both solid contributors.

But he may be a guy who is a great DB coach yet not necessarily a great DC. Same as Quinn at HC.

Strange since Harris is a MM guy, not a Quinn guy, and Jerry’s mish mosh of coaches don’t usually work out so well.

I’m sure it will be recognized and he will get his shot at DC somewhere. It’s well deserved.

Didn't Quinn almost win a Super Bowl against the Patriots as head coach?

Sure did, and I’d take him over MM easily.

Just saying coordinator jobs are very different from HC. We would probably suffer defensively if Quinn took over for McCarthy as HC.

Really, at this level all these guys are great. Just a matter of players executing or not to make them regarded as someone is who beyond great. It’s kind of silly actually, yet very true.

The better players play, the smarter the coaches get.

I think it’s a combination

Quinn and Harris are great and happened to get teamed up with a generational player in Parsons and a great player in Diggs

Honestly, they do seem like really good coaches to me. I still think nobody is talking about Quinn if he doesn't have Parsons as one of his chess pieces. And nobody is really talking about Harris much if he doesn't have Diggs in his group.

I was fairly indifferent to the Al Harris hiring, but I loved the Quinn signing. With that said, I have to give Harris credit. Our secondary is playing well and players seem to be stepping up under his guidance. These two are great and I love that they're in Dallas. For how long will be the real question. Teams around the league will surely will have their sights set on them after this season.

Lol. He was agreeing with you. It was like saying, "Preach, brother!" Things like this are why Risen has a market on here. It's hilarious.
That's why I gave him a like....I just like saying! Lol

I like what the defensive coaching staff is doing that is for sure but Parsons and Diggs have changed the culture of that group and they are absolute game day performers.

Man, I tell you… Harris is a really good coach. Really good. Best DB coach we’ve had in a long time.

Quinn is abviousky very good too, but everyone knows that. People are sleeping in Harris though.

Of course experience doesn’t hurt, but I think great communicators and great teachers make great coaches. Modern day offenses and defenses are fairly complex; so a coach has to articulate the concepts in a manner that allows the players to not only comprehend the concepts, but teach them to employ these concepts and techniques effectively…this leads to confidence, which allows them to play fast.

The players seem to respect them. IMHO that is the single most important thing an NFL coach needs to have these days. Without the respect of your players none of the coaching details matter.
