While most of you will probably disagree with me but I actually hope he is out against the Giants. In the games Gurode has been in there our running game is much better. The snaps from Al are slow and defenses are teeing up and jumping the snap count. Gurode is big and does not get blown off the ball. The exchanges look much smoother and Bledsoe gets out much quicker. I think this may have to do with the size difference between the 2 guys. Al is shorter than Gurode and I think it takes more out of Bledsoe since he is 6"5.

Al drives me nuts with the number of times he gets pushed back.

I agree. I think he's our biggest problem on the line, moreso than even the T situation. Sometimes you need an athletic center, and sometimes you need a big mauler. Right now, I'll take the mauler, please.

I agree and have been saying this all season long. Al is not BIG, STRONG, or PHYSICAL enough for me...

I trust our head coach. I think he has a clue. If he's been starting and playing AJ for the majority of the year, then maybe he's OK? BP has said SEVERAL times this year, that when Gurode was in, he had numerous mental errors. But most of us dont get to see the coaches film to know this. We just look at his bubble gum card and see that he is bigger and heavier than AJ and assume that makes him the better choice.

Not sure if he's a upgrade, maybe they're about even but Gurode is BIGGER, STRONGER, and more AGGRESSIVE.

Gurode can't make the calls - mentally can't handle job. In fact our running game fell off in Detroit game after Gurode came in. There is a reason Johnson is the starter. He IS BETTER.



The entire Oline needs a Deep look at upgrade in offseason unless they really step it up.

They're both pedestrian players with their own set of faults. Johnson is better but not by a wide margin. Neither one is going to the pro bowl any time soon.

I wouldn't want a tall center. Most centers are shorter, stocky, cock strong, and aggressive... Like Gurode, he just needs to be consistent with his line calls...
