Last year Al Johnson was not good. But he was also playin injured so that did not help him out much either. I trashed him alot but I will say this. Give him credit he has gotten bigger by workin hard in the weight room. He now weighs 318 pounds and should be alot stronger. With him bein healthy this year maybe he will really do a good. I hope so and Im pullin for him.

I agree with that some, by Al Johnson realizing some fans, maybe even coaches and owner jerry jones getting down on Johnson. Then, he came in this year in offseason and worked out, got bigger too. So, I say, give him the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes, thats what you have to do, chew a player out, let him know that to you, he let you down.
If he is any good kind of player, then he will try to become a better player, and improve. Not even only helping himself, but helping his own team-mates. Thats like in 1973 and 1973, I remember Harvey Martin was coming into his own. Rayfield Wright would stay an extra hour after pratice, and all other players had left the field. Wright would work with Harvey Martin, to help him become a better player, show him what he was doing wrong. What he needed to do in workouts to become better, etc.

I hope this is the year he turns into a legit NFL center. We don't need a all-pro in there just someone solid.

the only things that caused Al to gain weight were being fully recovered from his injury and sheer professionalism

where did u hear he was up to 318 and are u sure?

It was posted in another forum with a link. Dunno if I could find it. But it said he was up to 318. If he keeps it up he might hit 320+. I was like pissed when we didnt go after one of the 2 centers everyone wanted to in FA. But maybe Al Johnson will come up big for us.

in terms of calling the snaps and the alignments, Al is pretty solid, weight was his only problem, hope gaining weight solves it, and experience...

You need to change your sig line. You are 0-7 in free agency.

Mad TKs summer.

I just hope I am right about how we will use our 1st rounder on offense this year. I am not as sure about that as T.O. but with the way Henson is comin around in NFLE I just dont see us takin a QB this draft. So that is why I get kinda a weird feelin Parcells might surprise us all and take a RB at #18 if a real good one is there.

I do not feel nearly as strong us takin a RB at #18 as I did with the T.O. thing.

Also my surprise player of the year.....Kyle Kosier....IF we just leave him at 1 position on the OL. If we just keep him at guard he will be surprise alot in here.

I don't agree w/ you about taking a RB at 18, we have a stable of 3 promising ones already, any rookie we take will be an even bigger unknown than Julius, MBIII and Tyson

on the otherhand, I totally agree with you about Kosier, he only allowed 2 sacks last year, and gives us what LA didn't give us for a few years...mobility, that way he can help sustain inside blocks for Julius, instead of Julius getting ankle-tackled, and he'll be a little more solid staying with his man in pass-protection for Bledsoe

Dude put your sig line back in there, Just change (take out) the free agency part. The draft and other stuff was good!
