unused by Saunders....pretty big waste IMO.

The skins sure ran the ball a heckuva lot better against Minny's front 4 than we dreamed about.

well, Archuleta sure didn't disappoint. He is just as big a waste of money as I thought he'd be.
Sean Taylor...still dirty
Lloyd, still drops passes.
Greg Williams had no effective passrush whatsoever...surprising.
Of course Minny's OL is tons better than ours.

agree with most you said for sure and add Lloyd and not used or Patten but Taylor's hit on the WR was a BS flag...the guy was still in bounds even..that was lame but I sure liked the outcome.

I thought they had unreasonable expectations for Saunders offense. Gibbs is a pretty good offensive mind himself. I wouldn't expect for Saunders to be a real significant improvement.

in the spirit of football I have always agreed that those are crappy calls. Darren Woodson got flagged and fined repeatedly for the exact same thing and Roy did some too. I've always hated that call because the DB is doing what he gets paid to do, separate the ball from the WR.
However, since they always seem to call it on us, it was nice to see it called on someone else. If those calls are going to be bad, at least they are being consistent, whether we agree with it or not.

what is more ironic is that Taylor's hit was flagged but Trent Green's hit wasn't  ....wasn't flagged even though he had started sliding and plays in a league that has all but eliminated hitting or touching the QB.

Totally agree...its sad all over...I understand if its like 5 seconds after a pass over the middle but that is ticky tack and his rep and Tony K said probably helped it...and yes regardless of blocking into(which I believe is BS), the guy hitting Trent should be fined cause he slid feet first which is supposed to be non contact then.

is it possible that the vikings are better than everyone let, and might actually make a playoff run this year?

I saw an average team out there, but it's only wk. 1, so you could be right

It is possible...though it is also conceivable that Synder blows his cash on coaches and players who will simply will not win.
