I don't know, the combination of a controlled substance while armed (even if its yours) can be tried as a felony. Not sure it would get dismissed even if that's all it was.

at some point that Saban evil empire will unravel. That program is dirty like most of them but pulling in 85x 5 star recruits year after year after year...not buying it, (maybe they are buying it)

No evil empire in Bama, but it is the best program in college football--maybe ever. Saban found a great coach and recruiter cheating and dismissed him; what more can he do? anyway, this is about Cam--I doubt he gets more than a hand-slap from the court but will probably be suspended four games by the team.

Nope. He has to be 3 years removed from his high school class to apply to the draft (regular or supplemental).

2015 - Sophomore at Alabama
2014 - Freshman at Alabama
2013 - High school Senior

Big day...June 16th...Probably pleads not guilty....kicks it down the road as far as his lawyer can w/ continuences...probably sometime next winter before the draft......then it will all get plea bargained down to a speeding ticket.

Court date for top OT postponed … According to the Monroe County DA’s office, the hearing for Alabama junior OT Cam Robinson and DB Hootie Jones scheduled for Thursday was postponed at the request of the defense attorney. Robinson, a potential top 5-10 prospect for the 2017 draft, and Jones were arrested on drug possession and weapons charges in May. A future court date has not been set at this time.

Funny...in less than a month...charges dropped....

After digging around...come to find out the charges are being dropped because of an improper search and seizure by the cop. Cop saw a gun...and thought he had proper right to search the vehicle. Supposedly...It's ok to have a gun in plain site in Louisiana..Hence the cop didn't have probable cause to search the vehicle in the first place.

As for the stolen gun...Robinson paid for the gun. He didn't know it was stolen property.

With all that being said...I assume Robinson's top 5... 2017 draft status stays intact.

They were at a shooting range--so they had guns. Jones did the right thing told the cops he had his while his hands were up. There were two other people in the car and at no time did they establish who possessed the weed. They were stupid to be in the situation but now they might not miss games. Everybody move along; nothing to see here.
